Title: How did ya dicover our Purrs web site?

he said the site makes me even more paranoid then what i am already re cats health and safety

Where else would we all have been there's a strange thought - the internet wouldn't have as many cats to search!!!!

What happened was I received e-mail asking if I still sent on AOL Cat Chat, I replied that I had not been on for years but now went on Purrs. The rest is history. ;D

I orignally found CC through Google as I was looking for any sites about FIV.

I am also accused by OH of being cat obsessed and I plead.....GUILTY. It's a life sentence :Crazy:

Surprisingly it was my OH that found CC when we were thinking about getting a cat when we moved into our new home.

It was one of the rescues on CC that we got Fearne from, so I read the forum looking for advice so I'd be prepared and was ready for Fearne to hide behind the sofa for 2 days when we first got her - she hid for 5 minutes :Crazy: I was really pleased she wasn't scared - but also slightly disappointed as I'd briefed my OH about this in the car on the way to the rescue :rofl:

My OH now refers to this as the Madcatwoman forum :rofl:

I've only recently started posting 'cos that's when we got our own pc rather than living in fear of being caught out at work :scared: 'cos I got carried away.

OH also refers to this as the "mad cat women" forum but he still reads it but perhaps he's just checking up on what I'm saying about him :evillaugh:

Also, a bona fide excuse for not doing boring old housework ;D

I remember the last tearful days of CC and set up a site in yahoo but Tan said she thought the her and chappie could get one set up very quick, and they did, in an hour!!

It was so great cos I was struggling to get the yahoo one to work and it would never have been so good cos it was limited to work in a certain way by yahoo. Many of the ideas I wanted to put on where taken up by Tan and we have just gone on to get better and better.

We needed somwhere for all the CC peeps to go and in those last CC days along with others we compiled lists of people from CC so we could tell peeps where we were.

CC closed a week before our auction was due to start and thanks to all the generous peeps who made such great fun and gave loads of dosh, Ron got a nice Christmas present to help him over his financial probs during Christmas.

Purrs has evolved so much since those tiny steps last November and its amazing to see how the membership has grown from about 250 immediate members to the massive 688 of today.

Long live Purrs anmd all that sail in her ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
