Why oh why when I get the biggest litter trays do most of mine manage to miss and get it on the floor.... Bella practically empties the tray and then poops on the floor. Elle very rarely hits the tray and the others its hit or miss :evillaugh: :evillaugh: :evillaugh:
I have a covered litter tray that nobody used, me thinks they think there is a big monster lurking inside :censored:

i have the same problem with Foxy ... she will insist in getting her fat ass right into the corner of the litter tray and every now again misses totally! We have a plastic mat (hall runner) from Wilinsons (abot £3) under the trays to save the carpet!
-
you could try taking the lid off the covered tray (so its in half)......the walls will be alot higher than litter tray ones ;)
-
Mine are the same, esp Jaffa. He always uses a corner or side. Fortunately they use a covered tray so it's ok. I think with Jaffa it's because he wants to mark the tray with his scent and weeing against the side is the next best thing to out and out spraying.
Perhaps if yours don't like covered trays a high sided one like the one below might help prevent overspill!

Its from purrsonal touch (lovely company to do business with incidentally. You can't order online, you have to phone them . I ordered some stuff from them last year and they were really nice and helpful, esp when I wanted to switch delivery days). They go around a lot of the shows and have a very large shop at the supreme which is always my first port of call and always absolutely heaving. I saw these high sided ones at the manchester show a couple of weeks ago and they looked pretty good.

Miss Boopy at 4am managed to do a poo half in the tray and half out of the covered tray that didn't have the lid on (I didn't moan though as for the first time in a week her tummy is solid, yay!) and then proceeded to throw litter everywhere so the whole of the bathroom floor is covered in WBCL (no exaggeration!) I'll be glad when we get home at the weekend and they can have a covered tray each so she can't throw it everywhere. Her main problem is even once you've cleaned the tray out she will continually go back and throw litter everywhere trying to cover up the wee/poo that has been taken out and flushed
Wish I'd seen those high sided trays at Manchester now as could do with one of those lol.

Hello ;D
Thought I would post a link to Teoh's HUGE litter tray here for all to see...
Its enormous and like a house/personal bathroom for him
As he is a Bengal he will grow into a big boy and this litter tray was advertised as large enough for two maine coons to turn around and dance inside!!!!
So, here it is and I hope you like it! We have a red one and its really smart and very very big!

In the sale too at the moment and as a new customer you will also get another £3 off, so it went for £21.90 to £14.99 - :Party 3:
We are delighted and Teoh has not missed it once or had any little accidents as he loves popping in here so much

I think I saw those ones at a recent cat show (at the purssonal touch stand) and couldn't quite decide whether they were bigger than the one I use now or not - going to measure the one I currently use and take a tape measure with me to the next show! I think they do a seriously big corner version too.
-
Yes Susanne
They do make a matching HUGE corner version also :wow:
