Title: Strange noise when pouncing!
Post by: Catjane on May 27, 2007, 08:59:33 AM
When I am playing 'sticky carpet' with Shanti, involving wiggling a stick under the playmat, she makes a really weird sound sometimes when she pounces.  I've never heard it before from any other cat ... it's a kind of nasal 'popping' sound that's almost a sneeze, but most definitely isn't.  It only ever happens as she pounces on the stick.  Has anyone else ever come across this or is it that I have a very strange cat?  Health wise she appears to be absolutely fine.

  never heard that noise but I can definitely say all my three make some really weird individual noises when they are hunting.  Foxy makes some hilarious little clicking sounds, Zephyr chatters, and Rossi twitters.  I think cat noises are as individual as our laughs.
