I just went into the garden and clapton was eating dirt. The ground here is very stony as well. That explains why last week when he was sick, there was something hard in it.
Any ideas?

I asked you about that after the sick with gravel didnt i.
This can be caused by a number of things such as toxicity (ie untreated crf cats) and also anaemia which is also very common in crf cats. I'd get his last RBC count to see what the level was and possibly look into repeat heamo bloods.

Hi Lynn,
His last readings a couple of months ago were
Urea 20.2
Crea 300
Which were a "slight improvement on the original readings last november. When I took him in 2 weeks ago, I asked the vet to do bloods but he said there was no need and he would do them in August.

No mark those are "biochemisty" results..when was the last time he had haematology ran aswell ?? its the one with red blood cell count, haemaglobin, white blood cells, platelets etc etc.
I honestly think theres a good chance he might be anaemic so defo worth a check with these new symptoms.

Thanks Lynn,
I will get him in during the week. He seems a lot better but I want to be sure.
