As you maybe know I auctioned a hand knitted cat bauble again this year and the lady who won it asked me to knit a Bengal cat   :scared:
This was her Johnny Depp who passed away very young. I hope I did him justice and I knitted him his wings too ;) Don't worry I've fixed the tag spelling already!

Callie liked him

This made me smile so much, little Johnny Depp indeed, very handsome and smart. Love his tiny hat, you must have really tiny needles :Luv2:
-
:Luv2: :Luv2: :Luv2: :Luv2:
-
Aw how fab is Johnny Depp? ;D (And Callie also makes a very fetching "Moddell" with that coquettish little face of hers. ;) :Luv2:
-
that is fantastic, one year I will win those!!!!!!!!!!
-
The more I look at that bottom photo, the more it's like Callie's photo-bombed Johnny :evillaugh:
-
That is so cute! The little wings are such a nice touch :Luv2:
Do you sell them anywhere? You should open an Etsy shop!
-
ooh I agree!
-
I don't sell them no as I don't really have the time to knit enough and I like to keep them 'special' for the auction and for my friends at Christmas.
As I do hamsters as well it takes time LOL

I could try and knit some through the year maybe if people would like to 'pledge' a guaranteed amount for next year but they would't get it till the auction ;)
It's a thought?
Johnny took quite some time as the pattern on a Bengal is pretty tricky and I also feel like they should be exact when in reality they can only be an 'artistic impression'
-
I would pledge for these plus one of mine is a bengal so you have a template! actually thinking about it the others are black so quite straight forward and a white with tabby version of callie so you know all about that!
love the pic, it is adorable
-
Ahhhh i love these :Luv2: :Luv2: :Luv2: :Luv2:
-
I think their exclusivity is part of their charm, too. :)
-
Mine from last year are waiting for me to decorate the tree. :)
-
I knew I should have bid more. ;D Next time . They are great
-
I was the lucky lady who won the handknitted bauble. I am utterly delighted with him.
I did shed a few more tears when I opened the parcel. I really miss that boy, he was just thirteen months old when I lost him.
Also, I did offer to send photo's of an easier cat to copy, but I am so happy that Lynne took up the Bengal challenge. She is a very talented lady.
I had expected to be outbid on this, be warned ladies I have three more cats I want immortalised.
-
  Aw, it's heartbreaking when you lose them young. I know only too well. They stay with us though, forever.
Bet your bauble now has pride of place on the tree? :wow:
-
Haha I have three Bengals.
The tree is under contemplation. Do I really want to rebuild it every day?
Mini Johnny is hanging on the wall above leaping height for now, whilst I decide. I give him a cuddle every morning.

:Luv: That's lovely. Three Bengals eh? A glutton for punishment. :evillaugh:
