Last night my wonderful, grumpy, slightly antisocial and thoroughly unpredictable snake Sinwyn passed away. She'd been with me around five years after someone gave her away on the local Freecycle site.
She'd clearly not been handled a great deal, and was very specific about the vivarium being her space. So we met a compromise where she'd come out of the door when it was open if she wanted handling which seemed to work for her.
She had a huge personality and was very obvious with me about her feeding times. She yawned more than any snake I've ever seen. In short, she was a quirky wee soul who made me smile and I loved her.
I don't know what happened, Sinwyn. But I hope you knew you were loved, so much. And always will be.

Thank you. I'm better than I was, Sheila. You're right, due to not really understanding what had happened I went into shock a little.
Sinwyn is buried under my flamingo willow and I'm looking for just the right thing to place under it in her honour.
