.... hope has settled in. I'm sure he is being spoilt rotten ;)
-
Hi Sam ,
Thank you for fetching him for me .
I will put some pics up tomorrow of his first day ..... Asleep !
He seems to have slept since Sunday and eaten . No problem with food, everything is licked clean .
He is very affectionate and head bits, but just wondered why he is also prone to give you a nip !?
I am using ipad , and pics are on computer ,so will put some on tomorrow .
-
ahhh bless him .... I'm sure he will stop nipping once he settles down. Quite alot of cats nip for some reason when they are being fussed, not sure why they do it, it's not something any of mine have ever done. I'm sure once you get to know his personality you will be able to read him better and know when he's nippy! lol
Can't wait to see the pics of him
-
Napoleon used to nip..........think it was asign of affection :innocent:
-
Here is a picture of the new arrival on his first day .
Treacle?
-
Awwwww, bless him! :Luv2:
-
Oh my he is gorgious..................ugly how could anyone think he is ugly >:(
Think he is too light for treacle, how about Apricot or ummmmmm Nutmeg?
-
... or toffee... or fudge...
-
PUMPKIN
-
That's Pandoras nickname , Pandy Pumpkin as she is so round
-
I like the name treacle and he looks such a loving treacle but if you are worried about the name going with his colour how about Honey?
Love the one of him with both eyes shut, so sweet.
Has he had an op on his eye or is that from a cat fight?

Phoenix because he has risen to a new home who loves him and also in honour of my darling ginger ninja x
-
Apparently he was hanging around a restaurant and they didn't like it /him , so think a human hit or kicked him in the face and he had to have some operations on it.
There are also scars down the side of his face both sides but you can only see them close up,.
He seems not to have a eyelid on one eye.
-
Aaw poor little love, he will think he's in heaven now with you Gill.
Liz I like the idea of Phoenix, certainly raised from the ashes ;)
Mary
-
OMG - just had an idea...................... call him Churchill to go with Winston ;)
Mary
-
he will come on leaps and bounds now he is in your care Gill and I'm sure the right name will come to you, but how about Nipper ;)
-
   Not like anyone's trying to encouraging him to carry oon nipping you Gill ;) ;)

 He is lovely and he will be safe now. Its awful to hear of cats (or anyone else) being ill treated.
-
Aw he's gorgeous!!! :wow: :wow: :wow: And he's definitely not ugly. :Luv2: He has beautiful colouring (I am of course very partial to gingers, as you may know ;))
Am so glad he's found his place with you Gill.
I love all the suggestions for names so far. Pheonix seems particularly apt, but then Chivers would be a great name for him too because of his rich marmalade fur.
Oooo Gill. sending a gentle and respectful cheek rub for him.
Am also wondering if the nipping is an expression of his pleasure? I would say if he isn't seriously aggressive in this respect (and it certainly doesnt dsound like it) then it's more likely to be a little love nip than anything else. Either that, or he's setting out parameters that he feels comfortable with.
Am delighted to have finally seen the piccie of this lovely ladm and Gill - sending big hugs to you for giving him his chance.
-
He's a sweetheart :Luv2:
-
He's adorable :Luv: Not in the least bit ugly!
I have a soft spot for gingers ;)
-
he is lovely, how sad that humans can be so cruel but he has fallen on his feet now I'm sure
-
Werther?? Like werthers original sweets in their golden wrapper?????
-
There are names like Goldy or Tango has well. I've never had a ginger cat but my Billy's sisters were both gingers and when he was younger you could see a lot of ginger in his tabby coat but it is heavy and a dark shade now he is almost eight.
-
How about Roger after Ginger Rodgers?
Mary
-
What about "Clancy" which means "Red haired warrior" :)
-
Aww Gill, he is lovely :Luv2:
-
What about bloody pain in the arse !
Managed to escape the fence , run round the fields like a lunatic and have all my neighbours looking for him. He came back into next doors garden as I could hear his bell , he then got stuck in their conifer trees and they had to,rescue him and bring him round .
Grounded today !
At least it proved the safety collar worked as it came off in next doors tress and got it back !
Got to sort out something to stop him scaling a 6ft fence now !
-
It shows he is settling in and wanting to explore.
-
Blimey O Reilly Gill - a heartstopping escapade for you, if not for him!!! :scared:
I guess everything must be so strange for him at the moment, and he's been through a lot in a relatively short space of time he probably feels like he's got to rely on his own instincts, and the flight mode kicked in.  Glad he didnt go far - although quite far enough as it happens, and well done your neighbours for assisting in his recovery.
-
So pleased he is back and 6ft fences are cats play to your average young moggie :evillaugh: :evillaugh:
What is his name?
-
Oh dear! I am so glad that you gotr him back safely.
