My cat elsie seems to be acting differant latley she seems very timid when it comes to feeding times, she hides under the cooker and refuses to come out, she isnt eating much and has lost alot of weight, she has only been like this for just over a week but she has lost alot of weight, its a litte worrying as she has always been a healthy weight. anyone have ideas what could be wrong ??
any advice will be much appreciated as she means alot to me

I assume you have consulted a vet as she has been like this for a week. What did they say? Poor little Elsie. Not at all good that she has lost a lot of weight

You mentioned in your other thread that you moved recently. How recently is that?
Any change within the cats environment could cause a change of appetite and behaviour.
Do all the cats have their own feeding space?

No i havnt spoken to a vet, i know i should but i wanted to make sure it wasnt just a little faze she is going through before i go and spend money on the vets as i am having a few money issues atm, but if there is something wrong i will be sure to pay for anything

We moved just over a month ago, they all eat in the same room, but i always feed elsie away from the others as she takes a while to eat compared to them

If it been a week and she has lost a lot of weight, I think she needs to be examined by a vet
Are you sure she has lost a lot of weight? It's sometimes difficult to tell unless you have used scales.

I haven't used scales, she just suddenly feels really boney I've never noticed it before so maybe its just me and I just never realised :/ but she does seem to be acting strange lately

Definitely agree on the vets. How old is she and has she seemed settled in the new home apart from this?
I'm assuming you've tried her on all her favourites?
-
if the eating slowly has been getting worse, it could be she has a problem with her teeth, which can be sorted quite easily, and fairly cheaply
-
Please get her to the vets now
-
Yup, the vets is definitely the place for her.

I agree, please get her to the vet.Give her a cuddle from me.
