I know you were in so much pain at the end, and despite retaining some of your old habits from your previous street life, you still let me stroke you and pick you up without a fuss. Cathie and Cole miss you, and i still find myself looking for you on your favourite wicker chair even though i know you have gone. You will forever be a success story of how an old feral cat could change and become a loving and much loved member of the family. You loved your home comforts, a cosy chair, sofa, pillow or blanket made you so happy and you adored your food. You would side step down the stairs to greet visitors and you knew how to put the younger kitten like cats in their place, you certainly never let your age or arthritis get you down. And with so many cats passing through that garden, i wonder why you and your family decided to stay. I hope you are glad you did, and i hope you are happy that some of your children have found loving forever homes through us. There are so many ginger and white cats out there, but there will never be another like you! It makes me smile to think of when i first saw you, hiding over the back fence, trying not to be seen and then when i think of what a lovely friend you became. Please dont hold it against me, i made that terrible decision with your interests at heart. Now you are free from pain, rest easy sweetie xxxx

So sorry, Lau. What a beautiful boy he was. Looks like he was a right character. We love them so much we don't ever want to let them go. Stopping their pain and ensuring they have the most peaceful end possible is, perhaps, the greatest act of kindness we can show for them.
Play hard at the Bridge, sweet boy.
