Title: antirobe
Post by: Kay and Penny on September 21, 2013, 21:52:00 PM
Trigger had an infected tooth out last Monday, and has been on 2x25mg antirobe daily since coming home

does anyone know what is the usual length of time to give it after a tooth extraction? I asked for a few spare in case he wouldn't eat the food I put it in, but there has been no wastage, and I wonder if I have dosed him enough now - I still have 6 capsules left

My vet usually gives a Covenia injection which lasts two weeks, so I'm not really in a position to inform. However, if the vet prescribed two weeks, then you should finish the course.

the vet didn't specify a time, just gave me a box of capsules

I would be happy to give them all if I didn't have to put them in tuna to get him to take them - but he is on a Sensitivity Control diet and shouldn't be having fish at all really

thanks Rosella - I'll use them all up though no signs of any problems with the tooth socket - and he'll be happy to have yet more tuna
