Madam Pearl went hunting today... She bagged herself a rabbit AND a mouse! :what:
Anyway, here's a photo I bagged of my little expert in action. :evillaugh: Well, before she ate the mouse anyway. All that was left when she'd finished was the tail and back feet...

 She ATE the mouse?!
Yep CC.. the ol' Tom and Jerry cartoons stem from the fact that "cat and mouse" are very much in a food chain...well the mouse is..

they never eat the tails..fraser (altho not had one for a long time) eats everything inc feet but leaves the tail.
Once of them will eat a whole bird but ive known a few feathers and BEAK only to be left (thats pretty grose)
with moles soots never ate the eats and with rabbits depending on how many he caught that day (often/normally several) he'd always eat the insides and leave the carcase. Shrews odly they kill but normally dont eat, which is a shame as i really like shrews.

 She ATE the mouse?!
Yes, she did indeed eat the mouse! :evillaugh: Oh yes, and she had some of the rabbit as well. I think Mr Fox finished the rabbit.
Pearl was a semi-feral - she lived rough for around a year before she was trapped, during which she raised two litters of kittens. She had to hunt to survive and I guess she does like the odd mouse or bird etc. She polished off three greenfinches last week, and a while back she brought back a pigeon that was almost as big as she was...
She's just a cat being a cat - and one who is an astonishingly smart and accomplished hunter.
