Cleo is currently with the greenpeeps, sleeping off the anaesthetic having had 8 teeth removed this morning. They phoned me yesterday to give me a 'worst-case scenario, ball-park figure estimate' of £380. I suspect it might even be more than that when it comes to it.
I am particularly annoyed because my SIL handed Cleo over to us without a word, despite knowing at least a year ago that this needed doing >:(
So, it looks as if it is beans on toast for us for the foreseeable future, I've got some nice fish in for Cleo though!

not very nice of your sil but I bet cleo will be mightily greatful, I always think bad teeth must be horrible - I paid a similar amount for star to have three out but my vet does seem to be expensive
-
I am mostly angry with SIL on Cleo's account. It isn't nice to be left so long with sore teeth. Mind you, it has cost me around £500 thus far and we are still not sure that we will be keeping Cleo!
-
Poor Cleo and am sure she will be so much happier.
Spaghetti and a sausage will make a change
-
That is bad, is she able to contribute towards the cost at all?
The poor thing, hope she recovers well after her op

Cleo was absolutely fine from the minute she came home - and had been demanding food while she was still at the vet's! I gave her metacam routinely but she hasn't seemed to be in any discomfort.
No, SIL has no intention of helping out with the cost. Her words were that she was 'sold as seen' (although we didn't pay for her). I'm just happy that it has been done.
The final bill was actually a bit less than the estimate! ;D

Relatives eh? Who'd ave em ;)
You are a star and no mistake
So pleased Cleo has responded so well to so many extractions. She will doubtless be feeling a whole lot better now :)
-
I thought she might be a bit wobbly, off her food or something but she did really well. She's a little sweetie, she would be perfect as someone's 'only cat'.
-
It is awful of her to put you in that situation, but good for you for doing right by Cleo - I don't know if I have missed this, but why did she decide to let Cleo go?
Glad she is doing well tho

SIL and her hubby are off travelling on their boat again. They did this 27 years ago and were away for many years. They came home when my nephew was due to go to senior school and have been waiting for him to be independent before they went away again. They could be home at Christmas, they could be gone for years, who knows!
Cleo is cuddled up on my lap at the moment, it really is all she wants out of life.
