Title: Is it normal to see the nipples on male cat?

I was just posting some pics of the boys on another thread when it occured to me how prominent Lucas' nipples are.  He doesn't seem to have very much fur at the bottom of his tummy and his nipples are really prominent.  Riley has a furrier tummy and you can't see his.  Is it something I should be worried about?

Here's a pic to show what I mean, the pink bits near his back legs are his nipples which are clearly visible through his thin fur...

when i got bubbles as a kitten ( bubbles was my babe who lost his life at 6mths )  i could see his nipples through his fur too , i remember saying to my mum "why can i see his nipples is he a girl really ? " ( i was only a kid at the time lol ) we took him to vet and the vet said it was normal  :Luv:

Charlies got the exact same Helen, don't think thats anything to worry about, I'll post my display pic as you can see it really well in that :)

You can't actually see them as well as I though, but you can see them in person, esp bc he has white fur on his belly  :Luv:

How are they boys anyways Helen? I'll go hunt for your new pics  :wow:

Thanks Lisa & Sarah, I was just a bit worried as they were different to Riley's. Riley's got a white belly in places but I think because he has thicker fur you can't notice them, when I'm scratching his tummy for him I keep going to pick them out of his fur thinking he's got bits of debris in it!

My OH thought one of the Proot's nipples was a tick - lucky I was around or he'd probably have painted it with nail varnish to kill it!!  :-:

totally normal  :)

You'd be suprised how many people cant understand their male dogs or cats having nipples & the men got very embarrast when questioned as to what the two things were on their own chests  :evillaugh:
