hi every1 i need a bit of advice!
i found out yesterday that our next door neighbours cat lily had been killed and at first thought she was knocked but was later told she had a hole in her side like she'd been shot. :'( my question is should i let jinx out or keep him in till we move in july or let him out as usual because im worried that the same might happen to him :( and i'd neva 4give myself

I guess if you are asking yourself that question you've probably answered it for yourself Charlie. Poor little mite.
-
Thats terrible :( I would keep mine in. If hes the type of cat who wont stay in all the time then do supervised excursions when your home and deffo not when its getting dark.
RIP Lily

I agree with Ruth, I would keep him indoors and also warn your other neighbours about what's happened.
:RIP: Lily, sweet dreams, xxxxxx

Sorry Charlie, just realised my last post probably sounded abrupt. If I was you and had that happen around me I would probalby keep mine in.

Poor Lily RIP.
I think its a hard call if your cats are used to going out, I dont know what i would to do to be honest.
-
I personally would keep mine in. Years ago I used to let my cats out and then one day I glanced out of the window and saw someone pick up one of my cats and start walking away with it. I didn't know I could run so fast. Anyway I decided that day not to let my cats out again and they adapted remarkably well. Perhaps you will care to read my indoor/outdoor debate on my site.

What did they say when you got to them Ela??
I would go for keeping your kitty indoors too Charlie, I know it might be a bit hard on them at first but it is better than the worst happening. My three are indoors because I dont trust the scum round here.

To be honest I can't remember. I know I just said that is my cat and took it off them.

my sister and her bf saw out there window in there old flat someone pick up there cat from outside there door and walk away with him  my sister rushed outside and said "wat u doing with my cat " ? and the bloke said oh sorry i thought he was lost and handed him bk to her ,
they now live in a flat on the 3rd floor and he is an inddor cat now .
charlie id defo keep ur cat in ;)

If this had happened to one of my neighbour's cats, I'd keep mine in, even though they wouldn't like it. If you're moving soon anyway, they won't have to be indoor for the rest of their lives, unless you decide that you prefer them to be.
