I love this forum...really helpful and friendly people but it has also conformed taht I am NOT in fact INSANE. Every year around teh same time at the end of summer I can smell cat pee outside my front room window. I have a climbing honeysuckle out there and have always said taht it must be the honeyscuckle that smells but no-one has ever believed me. I have an amazing nose for smells and so many thing smell weird to me...like blackcurrants they smell like cat pee too...you know that ammonia smell...so when I went to the shop here at Purrs and saw you had those toys I felt completely vindicated!!!

Must admit I've never bought the honeysuckle toys so I dont' know what they smell like.

yeah it's a very specific smell...I don't use bleach in any of my cleaners but i accidentally bough a kitchen cleaner with bleach in it and when Jezabel smelt it on my hands I swear she would have eaten them if she could....she LOVED it. I think it's because some chemical in bleach smells the way cats urine smells when they mark their territory!!!

The honeysuckle toys are very stinky we have to ration them.
The other things that really smells like cat wee are fig trees. I spent ages wondering why mine smelt so bad on sunny days. I did a bit of research online and apparently i wasn't the only one who'd been wondering where the smell came from.

Crazy huh? I think it must be genetic partly...the sense of smell and taste because both my mother and myself think coriander tastes like soap!
