This is my special cat Kocka who walked into my garden on Bank Holiday Monday over 10 years ago.
I hated cats and tried staring and hissing and clapping hands but she just kept on walking straight towards me. I thought if I ignored her she may go away and went back to my sunbathing. The next thing I knew was a small furry body lying between my arm and body and I had to confess she was beautiful and had never seen a her around before, in fact she was the most beautiful cat I had ever seen and her picture does not do her colour justice.
I fed her the only thing I had in the fridge which was salami and milk and she was starving and gobbled it up and then I spent the rest of the afternoon trying to keep her out of the house.............shows how much I knew about cats!
Kocka taught me everything I know about cats, how to panda to their needs and treat them like royalty, She showed me every trick in the cat book for getting to be the best behaved human slave. She broke into my house through a very small window in bathroom when the door was closed cos in my way I was trying to get her to go home if she had one, and I gave in and she moved in.
Eventually I got a cat flap but she much preferred to flap it so I would rush and hold it open for her and her alternative was to get on the window sill outside the kitchen and bang on the window or run her claws down the window, so I would go out and she would climb on my shoulder to be carried in!
In the days before she was totally spoiled and still recovering from not having a home, she would chase me round the kitchen for a sausage. This became beneath her dignity later on, as a sausage was not as good as fresh salmon, chicken or lamb.
Kocka was the most gentle cat and would not hurt me ever, she walked on my skin without ever sticking a claw in, she would lick my ears and eyes to wake me up and do her super-purr........I called her Roary Lion..............in my ears.
She was my very best friend and would look after me when I was ill and I tried my best to do the same for her.
We had a wonderful 10 years together and she went to the Rainbow Bridge aged 20 years on 23 July 2005.
I love you and will miss you always my little Kockins and hope you are having the time of your life up there in the Bridge and thanks for the rainbows you send me.
Lots of love from
Your Human

Gill Kocka was a gorgeous kitty and like I have always said cats instinctively know good people (even if the "good" people aren't fully aware of their potential ;) )
