for those of you who don't do facebook, we have been waiting for this little madam to drop for what seems like months.
She had a vet check last thursday and vet said this weekend....
still waiting!
-
Hope she doesn't keep you waiting much longer and that everything goes well.
-
foster mum says she dropped loads today.... perhaps she needs a little :poke:
-
poor girl she is huge
-
Oh bless her - surely it can't be long now. How many is she having, did the vet say?
-
Looking at the size of her I bet she will be glad when it's all over, bless her.
-
I'd say any day now... fingers crossed! :evillaugh:
Her body markings are very similar to Riley's, a long lost relative perhaps?
-
I suggested our foster lady talk to the vet today. She spoke with him this afternoon, and Mum to be is going in Wednesday morning (today!) at 9.15 am. He says this has gone on long enough!
She has eaten today, little and often, but is hiding under her blankets in her pen (den) area, which has all dark sheets all over it.
Watch this space ............... :shify:
-
Good luck to the little angel.
-
The vet decided that Jue was loosing weight. The kittens heart rates were slow so Jue had a Csection this morning. She has been brought home with 6 kittens, who last I'd heard she was ignoring. Will update when we can,
-
I suppose she's feeling rough right now. Fingers crossed she shpws an interest in them soon.
-
I hope so.
Praying we have now finished this years "kitten season". It started with a C-section back in Feb .....
-
When humans have a c-section they're told they can't bend or lift for 6 weeks yet poor cats are expected to get on with raising sextuplets! Hope Mum starts to perk up soon and starts showing an interest in her babies

I left my OH on Mum and kitten duty, so I could finish off feeding, and cleaning out my foster cats and kittens here, also on the helpline. He rang to say they had managed to feed, and the foster Mum had to go to a hospital appt. which she had cancelled because she couldn't get a cat sitter a few days ago.
He said they had managed to feed a couple of times, and one of the kittens, who was showing signs of breathing irregularities, had picked up and improved. :)
Have just spoken to their foster Mum, and Mum cat still seems confused, and they are going to put them back onto her again in a few minutes. The drugs will be still working their way out of her system.
-
Hoping mum cat accepts her kittens, it must be very confusing for her after all she has been through in the last few hours especially if it is her first litter.
-
Our fosterer came back from leaving her just a while to go and get her OH, and she came back to find them all latched on! I will get Angie or someone cleverer than me to post a picture! :briggin:
-
That's good to hear :)
-
Excellant news - hope they are all getting plenty of milk. Poor mum though :Luv:.
Keep thinking i'm on facebook and looking the like button.
-
Oh what a relief. I hope she turns out to be a good mum - with 6 babies she'll need to be.
You don't go in for small litters there at Cov cats do you?
-
Glad to hear mum and babies are doing fine :Luv: :Luv:
-
Nice news, hope she continues to pull these littl'uns along :)
-
picture as promised by Judith. Babies yesterday evening, they look huge and I've counted twice as I'm sure it looked like 7 at first (and second!) glance.
a black one at last and of course they will be 8 weeks old at christmas.... sigh.
-
My goodness, no wonder she was uncomfortable with that lot inside her! They are big, aren't they?
Gorgeous :Luv:
-
Goodness me, what a size she got to! I bet she feels better now she has had them. When I took Eleanor (who was on foster here back in Jan) in for a c-section the vet said they very rarely see this in cats. Now two in only a matter of months! Two ladies (and their babies) who were unwanted strays and would have surely died not for intervention. Good luck to mummy and foster family :Luv2:
-
latest news is mums not managing too well and babies are bring bottlefed as well...
-
Poor girl- with that many hungry mouths to feed she could probably do with a bit of help. I think they're all going to be enormous!
-
Oh dear and do hope they all will be OK
-
Keeping my fingers and toes crossed that everything will be OK for this pretty little mum and her babies.
-
mum is at vets today on a drip. :'(
-
Oh dear I hope she will be ok
-
Have everything crossed for her :care:
:get well:
-
Oh no! :( :(
Sending lots of positive vibes.
-
any news here Angie?
-
She's back at home. Some of the kittens were showing mild symptoms so mum and kittens all together again. From what I have heard they are doing well, though mum is refusing to eat anything other than chicken.
