F* Karat' Cats Boopy aka Miss Boopy is now home with me in the UK, she got home in the early hours of the morning ;D :cheer: It's a wonderful feeling to finally have her here with me after such a long wait. She travelled ever so well. To start with she refused to sit in the carrier and screamed at me (She who must be obeyed!!) so she slept on my lap through Germany and Luxembourg and then put herself back in her carrier for the rest of the journey. She only woke up when the Eurotunnel announcements were done in French and she got up and started looking round to see who was speaking.
She's understandably stressed at the moment as it's a lot of changes for her (new people, new house, new cats, people sounding different due to language change etc) but given a bit of time she'll settle in and be fine. It's the first time in her life that she's ever been away from her mum and all the other cats she lived with as well as being away from her breeders who idolise the ground Miss Boopy walks on.
She had a little accident last night as she was too nervous to get out of her tent bed to use the litter tray so she wee'd in her bed poor girl. I've sprayed feliway on the litter tray now and moved it to opposite the bed and will spray more around the room later to hopefully relax her a bit more. I think once she starts to meet Bilbo she'll be happier as she's used to lots of feline company and she doesn't understand why there aren't 14 cats to play with any more.
She has been ever so brave at the vets today (she's had to have a general for her blood test and having a few matts cut out). The vet has said she needs to put some weight on as she's only 3.55kg at the moment so they're going to give me some A/D when I pick her up later to give her to build her up a bit. Hopefully she'll start eating and drinking later today and I can get some photos of her soon to show you what a brave little gorgeous star she is ;D

Vets have said we can pick her up at 6.30pm ;D I will try to get a few quick pics tonight if she is feeling up to it after her general.
She's absolutely wonderful and worth every second of the wait :Luv: A wonderfully loving personality combined with an excellent type :cheer: I couldn't have asked for anything more and I will always be eternally grateful to her breeders for looking atfer her for so long and allowing me to have her as she's very special.
She escaped into the hall last night (she makes Houdini look like he never tried to escape!) and met Bilbo for about 30seconds and he made a little hiss at her but more a 'who are you' hiss rather than a 'get out of my house' hiss bless him and they now have to stay in rooms at opposite ends of the house as they have very noisy conversations otherwise as they want to meet each other. He's such a softy with girls lol.

Ooh - welcome to the UK Miss Boopy! ;D Sounds like she did really well travelling. I bet you can't wait to be able to introduce her to Bilbo. Hope she settles in quickly.

Welcome Miss Boopy! :welcome: How did she get on with the Eurotunnel then? Mine have french passports so spook at the English announcements ;)
They are really good at the check-in I found, on the french side. I said the cats were stressed so the pet passport guy came to the car to scan them in their cage a lapin - huge rabbit cage that they travel in (with bed, poo tray etc).
Hope Miss B's feeling herself again really soon.

Yes Miss Boopy was the same she was excited and sat up looking around at the French announcement and then trembles through the English ones. I got some odd looks at the vets today speaking French to her in the waiting room but she trembles when people speak anything other than German or French to her as it's all she's ever known. She slept the rest of the way on the tunnel which was good. I am amazed how well she travelled. Yes the Pet Passport people were really nice and I was surprised how quick the check was.
Where in France are yours from? Miss Boopy is right on the border with Germany so we had to drive through France, Belgium, Luxembourg and Germany to go 2km back into France to pick her up lol.

She will soon get used to it. Willow is French and she will give a nose rub whether you say "bizou" or "kiss" ;D

I am so pleased she travelled well and it goes to show that cats do understand the difference between one language and another ;D

I'd have been a bit disspointed that she had some matts though personally but atleast if they have removed them at the vets you can keep her in tip top shape now. Is there any reason she's under weight ?

The matts are just where she's lost her winter coat in the past few weeks and her breeder has been in hospital for a while so hasn't managed to keep all of them perfectly groomed. It was only 2 matts but they were right under her armpits. She's a bit underweight because she's been calling so much and she's gone into call again today so she's very noisy and very very friendly lol. She came into the lounge earlier and used Bilbo's litter tray (in lounge as she's in the bathroom). Managed to get her to eat about 1/3 of a tin of A/D since she's been home this evening but she's more interested in finding a boy than eating.

Last night she squeezed past my leg and ran from the bathroom straight into the lounge and climbed up my friend's leg to get to Bilbo (Becky was holding him) lol, it was so amusing and Miss Boopy was screaming at Bilbo. Bilbo's been ever so good. He's only hissed a few times and that is when she's bounced on him as he's still not exactly sure who this kitten that's suddenly appeared in the house is and keeps charging at him. He has discovered though that she gives as good as she gets as he hissed at her and she did her famous growl at him, poor Bilbo looked a bit worried then as he discovered he can't be in charge of her.
They are in separate rooms when I'm not here and are then gradually meeting for a few mins at a time when I am.

i love her tufty ears!!!!! she looks lovely. hehe, can only image how bemused poor ol bilbo is!!!!! probably feels like shes a dream only seeing her for such little amounts of time!!!!! sounds like its all going really well though and i'm so pleased xx

Yep no doubt you will meet her at a show in the future provided she doesn't hate them. She's supposed to have one on the weekend of 16/17th June but not sure if she can now as she's got a few shaved patches so we'll have to see how fast they grow back.
I was 'serenaded' to sleep last night by her in the bathroom (it shares 2 walls with my bedroom) and Bilbo at the other end of the hallway 'singing' back to her so rather tired today and got loads of work to do lol. She's just such a sweetie pie though :Luv: :Luv:

i see Lottie, the armpits area are the worst i guess as its so sensitive to comb them out their with the skin being so thin. Glad she's settling in :Luv:

She is settling in wonderfully well now thanks ;D :Luv: She's drinking at last, it seems she will only drink from Bilbo's bowl and not her own so I had to swap the bowls around earlier but at least I can stop worrying about that now.
They had the run of the house together this morning when I was at home and there was only one little hiss from Bilbo when Miss Boopy jumped over his head so as you can imagine I'm really pleased with how the intros are going especially as it is so soon (I had planned to keep them separate for 2 weeks and then start scent swapping etc but they had other ideas). She absolutely adores him at the moment but he's a bit nervous after she growled at him last night.
I'm going to try and get some more pics of her tonight if I can get her to sit still. I had forgotten just how energetic kittens are, she's like a little whirlwind! :Crazy:

Is Miss B Mademoiselle Boopy then or Fraulein Boopy? The former's got lots more cachet. She should come and see my two and they can swap (horror) travel stories lol.

She's a Madamoiselle, she lived 2km from the border so her breeders were fluent in French and German so she knows both.
If you say fish to Miss Boopy she just looks at you but say it in French and she goes mad rubbing round your ankles lol, it's so cute. Bilbo however runs away if you speak French so we're an amusing household at the mo as there's usually one of them running away or trembling depending on what language is being spoken. I'm ever so brave though and don't run away when they are talking cat :rofl:

Yes he does like to do Princess Diana eyes at the camera bless him. They consummated their friendship earlier so they are definately friends now :rofl: They've finally gone to sleep so I'm getting a bit of peace so I'd better go and do some uni work lol.

She'll have a gorgeous bushy tail when she gets a winter coat as her tail in Feb was gorgeous and that was only her kitten coat so I'm really looking forward to seeing what her adult coat is like in the years to come ;D If you saw her you'd think she'd lived here for years!

I'm so happy, her and Bilbo have snuggled up on the sofa together this evening ;D She's got him ever so well trained, she makes a bleating noise at him when she wants a wash and he immediately washes her :rofl: He gives her a quick wash, a bit more of a thorough wash and then a good scrub behind her ears lol (NFCs get a bit oily there)
