Great photo!

It always tickles me, the things that spook them. I recently discovered that our Munchkin is terrified of bubble-wrap. He was so traumatised when he came across me wrapping a present that he had to hide under the chair for 20 minutes.

Hee hee. LOVE hedgepigs, we have a family of them in our garden, the babies are SO cute.
Well done for leaving food out for them, hedgehog numbers are declining so need any help they can get.

I think most cats have one experience with a piggie and learn to leave them alone after that!  Their spines are incredibly sharp.
Cats are wusses at heart, suppose that's where we got the expression "scaredey cat"

brilliant!!  :evillaugh: :evillaugh: :evillaugh:

My kitten Evie had her first encounter with one the other week and Nuggie was so excited by the prospect of the up and coming "prickling" of Evie he followed her around for the first time ever, as she stalked this heggie. I swear you could actually see him laughing in side  needless to say it wasnt long before she flew so fast across the garden, eyes the size of bin lids, fur on end and tail like a fox, that when she jumped on the fence she fell clean off it into next doors garden  when i looked, the heggie appeared from the same place she had and was casually going about his evenings business  :evillaugh:..... then nuggie walked round the corner looking the happiest he had all day
:shify: *cough cough* i barely laughed at all.... :shify: :shify:

Like Robbie has learnt at some point, Evie has now also discovered that heggies are the real kings of the garden  :evillaugh: :evillaugh: :evillaugh:

 :evillaugh:

It's funny, one time I let Olivia out and the security light came on showing Hedgie in full view  :wow:
Olivia Bolted straight towards the Hedgie and I shouted, Olivia never slowed down, she just changed her trajectory
and stopped 5 ft away from the hedgie, the Hedgie just carried on as normal  :evillaugh:

My hedgies are still tootling around most nights, except the humungously large mummy pig who has really got rather fat this summer, I had to widen the entrance to her house 3 weeks ago as she was struggling to get in and out!

Am very proud, all 3 hoglets born in the garden this year are now strapping little fellas, all over 600g & so they should survive the winter and their first year no problem.

I think most piggies are very aware that their prickles HURT LOTS and any sensible cat will make a hasty retreat once they have had their first experience!

yeah Jo, most Felines have a bit of common sense when Hedgies are around  :evillaugh:
My ones still haven't been seen?? I don't really know where they stay? quite a large area of back gardens where I am
They could be anywhere  Just hope they are nice n warm wherever they are
