Title: To stay in or not
Post by: BobsMummy on September 05, 2012, 20:14:12 PM
Hi All,
We got a kitten when he was 8 weeks old and due to unfortunate circumstances we had to have him looked after by a family member just after his 1st Birthday, after 10 months we have now got him back  :wow:
He walked in like he never left, licked us all and purred and rubbed up against us  He knew all his old spots, food, litter tray, best sleeping spots etc etc.
The question I have is can we let him out straight away  :scared: He seems to remember everything and runs to the door if he hears the keys.
I don't want him to get lost, but I don't know how long we should keep him in, any help would be great....thanks

I havent ever had an outdoor cat however the general consensus seems to be a car should be in their new home for two weeks at least. Given he has been away for ten months I would play it safe and stick to the two weeks. I'm sure you would be devastated if he didn't return so I'd be cautious!
