I've found a load of packets of cat treats I didn't realise I had but they are well out of date. My first reaction was to throw them all away but then I wondered if they would be ok or not? They are air dried meat and the packets are all unopened. The sell by date is Sept 2011 so they are a year out of date. I don't really want to risk it but as the packets are unopened and sealed I am hesitating. Are they likely to cause harm if I feed them?
They are these treats

I think they would have lost their taste by now and I would chuck

Hmm, but would they make them ill? There are a few packets and it's only Jaffa who likes them but I don't want to make the little lad poorly. I guess I'd better just throw them out and stick to the new packet of dreamies!

I dont know if they would make him ill but not worth the risk

Shame on you for hiding them from Jaffa for so long ;)
They probably will be ok BUT I do not think I would risk it Susanne. Get the Dreamies open ;D

Don't worry - I've cracked open the dreamies! (89p in quality save btw ;)). They would probably be ok but I don't want to risk giving Jaffa an upset tummy.

Never heard of Quality Save - still got a load from when they were on offer at Morrisons a while ago - better check the date ;)
