If anyone is in the berkshire area (pref around reading) and they have a large cat scratcher activity play area that they are wanting to get rid of, please think of me.
Honey is testing the limits with climbing and my book shelves just aren't seeming as steady :scared: lol

have a look on freecycle you might find something!
-
Get a couple of wall brackets to secure your book case. ;) I know that feeling, by the way - I had a shelving unit that housed small animals cages and as they've passed away the cats have seemingly claimed them.... :-: That would be fine, except they have a perfectly fine scratchpost right next to the shelves and we can't use the shelves for storage now!
Have you looked on Zooplus? I got a really good one with a wall bracket for £60.

Zooplus are great value for money. I wonder if they would use one with another cats scent on tho? Secure shelves may be a better alternative for you.
I got this one http://www.zooplus.co.uk/shop/cats/scratching_posts/large/large_cat_trees_height_180_cm/84900
they love it and it is huge for the price you price you pay :wow:
I think 10% off your 1st order and free delivery over £20 :wow:

I'm getting some square wall shelves next week, i think i need a bracket for the book shelf too :scared:
-
I think you will find they climb everything and suggest you bluetack ornaments down and secure everything so it cant tipped over or be knocked off.
I have a Lupin who used to be called Storm and he climbs and breaks things, knocks things off and refuses to understand NO or get down Lupin :evillaugh: :evillaugh:
Oh yes and he is a mad cat scratcher, has a cat tree and scratching posts but far prefers doors etc..........sigh
He is only a 2 yr old birman and dread to think what fun your benglies will have :innocent:
-
Well aurora has been here a few hours and she's already sitting ontop of the sky box which is on the 6th shelf up!!
-
:evillaugh: :evillaugh: :evillaugh:
-
that goes with disconnecting the internet, knocking a vase over and hanging from the front room light..............she's asleep now shhhh

zooplus is really good as Emmy has pointed out and they even do ceiling high activity centres. If you Google Cat Shelves, most of those to buy are from america (and can be a bit pricey) - BUT they have some great DIY sections for shelves bought at Ikea.
I also recommend Liquid Nails in addition to your shelving fixings etc... it makes it so much sturdier. However, this is for longterm shelving as it is known to take some plaster with it when trying to remove the shelf
-
Oh my and wait till she jumps on your head from the top of a door when you are walking past :evillaugh: :evillaugh:
-
She sprung me this afternoon. I'd closed them in the kitchen, whilst I went out in the hopes it would limit the amount of damage. As I walked back in, i see honey asleep but no rori. Out of no where, she launches at me from the top of a cupboard  i must clip her claws

Bengals are not cats, they are monkeys!
-
Never mind lol as long as you love them ;D
-
Did you find a reasonably priced tree? I spend ages on EBay looking at posts!
-
I'm determined to get a post that is not highly priced but i keep getting beaten at bidding wars lol
I'm going to wait a few weeks until my funds have recovered and try again.
-
I hear that one. ;) If you want to inbox me the rough budget and sort of thing you want I'll happily browse for you when I'm looking at cat equipment. :)
