On my return into the conservatory from the garden earlier, Lottie was on the doormat, so I stepped over her. Reached over her for the door handle which must have been further than I judged and basically I fell out of the door - don't laugh! Luckily Lottie pusscat got out of the way! Now I have bruising coming out by my left heel and toes, two on the back of my right shin and three bruises on the back of my thigh up to my bottom (which an inch or two break between them). Not sure either of my cats will be getting a lap tonight as I need to sit at an angle to avoid to much pressure on the back of my thigh!

get some ice on those bruises quick

Or some arnica cream/gel if you have it! And something for shock (for Lottie  )
-
are you on your own Liz, could have been nasty, definately a drink to steady your nerves :evillaugh:

Arnica is brillliant but would use ice or a pack of frozen peas first

Thanks for your replies. Luckily some of the redness has gone down now so some bits don't look so bad, although I do feel a little sore on the back of my thigh. As I got up, Lottie was just sat there looking at me as if to say, what are you doing down there? Luckily I have managed to sit down and give her a lap this afternoon so I won't be failing on that one. Dawn, I think a drink will be in order for tonight - to help me relax and sleep!!

If only our reflexes were as fast as theirs! At least only one of you was injured!
Hope your ok in the morning

Ouch  Hope it's less painful now and that poor Lottie isn't too traumatised having witnessed it!

Luckily the bruises don't look quite so bad now the redness has gone down. I put my old trainers on which are soft so I'm okay walking around. Just feel pretty sore and bruised on the back of my thigh though. Lottie was so sweet last night - I was in the bath and in she pottered, tail in the air and then I had two paws and sweet little face on the side of the bath looking at me. Not so relaxing if it's her brother as he constantly walks back and forth along the edges of the bath!

lotzy I have to apologise, when I read this yesterday I could have sworn it was from Liz (who's oh works from home and has circa 50 cats so she may well have a lottie for all i know) promise I'd not had a drink before I posted!!

Dawn, don't worry about mistaking me for Liz.
Showed them the back of my thigh at work today - think I put them off their lunch and one said I will never think of your legs in the same way again. Good job my family and cats still love me!

I'm okay thanks - my thigh just feels a bit sore and only hurts if I forget and touch it or knock it.
