Am I so different? I have a ltter tray in the kitchen which Oscar has never useed since he settled with me and I let him out He does look at it once in a while and I will always keep it there for him
There are times when he comes in with muddy paws when I wish he would make use of it!!

I'm afraid to admit that we are guilty of one of the cardinal sins of cat ownership.... :-[
One litter tray between 2 cats !!!! :hairrasin:
We used to have 2 and they both used whichever they fancied, now they toilet outside 1 is kept for emergencies but hasn't been used for about 4 months ;D

I wrote a long post on here about 0130 but the server was down and still was at 0200 when I went to bed!
Am going to remove 3 today but move one back to the bathroom for Misa,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,oh ok thats 2 less lol but not sure what to do about Misa cos he is still using the mini tray for Ducha in here.
While he does Ducha wont use it,
Wondering if I move the big tray from the bedroom into the bathroom for Misa as its hardly ever used.
Puzzles and litter trays.......sigh

yes Peggy you are...you have committed the sin of having a perfectly trained cat who feels no desire to poop on your kichen floor and indeed is so trained that they wouldnt deign to have their poo smelling up your house :evillaugh: :evillaugh:

Ah, but thats only if cats are indoor only. :) I've only got 3 trays now, for 6 cats - but mine all go outside too, so my trays are just in case ;) One in hall, one in dining room and one upstairs in bathroom.
Foster cats indoors also have a tray each in their 'en suite' rooms :)
-
3 medium trays and a jumbo tray for 7 indoor/outdoor puds and 1 mainly indoor pud (still a bit too protective towards Bobby lad who is the only one that poos indoors)
-
I have moved one of the kitchen ones to the bathroom and Misa and Sasa using it, so still have 9!

I didn't train him he came from the Rescue like that Maybe it is because he was a stray though he used the tray until I was able to let him out

I always had 2 trays for the 2 cats, they use one for Poo and wee, and one just for wee.
Then along came Wordy, I got him his own tray, when the others were allowed into his room they started using that tray as well!!
I kept the 3 going for awhile but they went back to using 2, and completely ignored one of them.

I have 1 for 2 cats, everyone says its a big no-no, but I had 2, one in the living room and one in the spare room and they completely ignored the spare room one so I donated it to my mum when she was looking after a friends cat!
-
I am horified cos most trays now being used, including the one I was gonna take out of the bedroom........sigh

I have 3 in the day, but i put 2 more in at night as most of my gang can go out of a day, but i have sammy who comes in to use it of a daytime  i think he likes to keep me on my feet
