sadly Sunny my cockatiel passed away approx 10 mins ago.
for those of you that know the bird rescue was coming to take him to get him tested with their vets. sadly the woman was about 10mins away from my home when i went to carry sunny through and give him his last hug.
I sadly found he had just died in his cage :'(
I feel so pooey right now, I know he wasnt well etc but he was such an innocent soul it hurts so much.

What will be will be and I'm sure he knew how much loved he was. Sometimes the call from the bridge is too strong.

Of course you feel bad right now, you've just lost a much loved pet. You didn't fail him, you went the extra mile in finding the rescue to help but sadly it wasn't meant to be.

I buried him in a pot with my will & kate rose bush in garden, daughter was devastated and didnt quite believe he was dead unfortunately :'(
the lady from the rescue said she will phone tommorrow as i had to phone her as she was on her way to mine, thankfully she had another pickup to do so at least it wasnt a total wasted journey for her.
poor poor sunny, i did have a bit of a breakdown im afraid, funny how such a little bird can make you love them so much.....3 year old daughter was running about shouting sunny come back as well :(
