It is so sad and I expect many of those  came from homes where people said oh! I can always find good homes for my cats kittens.  Exactly the same is happening in the UK. Please everyone have your cats neutered and spayed. Vouchers towards the cost HQ, see www.cats.org.uk.

Quite probably Ela, I think the stats are worse in the US as they do have kill shelters, we wont have the same stats for pts. It is way too many though, and spay/neuter really is the only way to stop it - I personally think early spay/neuter is the best, you instantly have a 100% success rate for your animals to not contribute to the population issues.
