We got a call yesterday morning about a little stray cat that was in need of urgent care and we arranged for her to be brought straight to us at the Harbour.
When she arrived a sorry wee state she was as can be seen in the video below. She is covered in matts, painfully thin, weak, and so very sad. The poor poor girl. She will be seeing our vets today to find out more about her current health condition as there seems to be a problem with her front right foot and we are concerned about kidneys, etc. She is clearly very very hungry and takes the hand off you every time you go near her with a sachet of food bless her wee heart. The picture below shows her enjoying some head rubs and TLC from daddy Paul.
It is thought one possible reason she was there was due to the death of an elderly woman at the end of the estate and she has obviously just been left to fend for herself.

Bless her :care: She looks so grateful to be cuddled and have somehwere warm and soft to sleep. Hope there's nothing untoward healthwise and a bit of TLC and regular meals will do the trick

A wee update on Alice. Thankfully her check up went very well and the vets opinion is that she is just suffering from severe malnutrition and neglect.
She had a really bad week last week and really plummeted and became very depressed. Thankfully we got her through this and she has picked up and feeling better and started to eat well again which is a relief.
We keep encouraging her and there are very small improvements every few days. Fingers are still all crossed that she is out of the woods but don't think we will know for sure for a little while and certainly expect her to be with us for at least a couple of months.
