Hi,
I wonder if you could give me some advice. For the last 3 years my cat Stella has started to nibble at me. I wouldn't say biting but she pats me then nibbles at me. Sometimes she nibbles hard and on a couple of occasions she has gone for me.
I dont know why she does this. :(
Is she asking for something? But when i give her attention she still does it
Thanks
Emma

Sorry cant help but my late Napoleon used to try to groom me and it always ended with a bite and thats how he used to groom himself, so feel he just thought I was a cat,

Hi Emma, hmmm what are you doing at the time Stella does the Nibbling ?? :sneaky:
Misty used to do that if I was stroking him, and HE decided He'd had enough, it would start out
with a gentle swipe, then maybe a gentle nibble till I stopped
But Boy, If I didn't stop :naughty: ( You could see this Mad / wild expression come over his face )
It was then that He would get really rough and Lash out
so if it is that, I can only say to always Remember to stop when Stella tell's you, Don't forget..... " SHE is Your Master " :evillaugh:

Im just sitting on the sofa. She comes over and starts to rub her face on me then nibbles at anything she can grab. I make a fuss of her but she continues to do it.
Sometimes if i move she gets that look on her face as if she's really going to attack. She has attacked me only once. When she does it i just move away

When you say nibbles, do you mean biting or sucking?

Its more of a bite really

She might want some Dreamies to nibble on ;)
Not come across this one - maybe she wants more attention? Did something drastic happen 3 years ago for her to start doing this to you?
Good luck.

Not to my knowledge.
She was a rescue cat from the CP.
When i first got her she never liked you putting your hand in front of her face. That made me think that she may of been hit as a kitten

Maybe it's as simple as that ??
My brother in-law took on a rescue collie ( which was absolutely petrified of Men ) it took a very long time for Her to gain the trust
She was also a nervous wreck if any large cardboard box appeared or even being in a confined space
Dreamies sound the best way forward, She can't bite while eating ;)
