Darwin walked in earlier limping. I have fought my usual panic meltdown to try and wrestle him in to a carrier and hot foot it to the vets, but am worried. Should I observe and see how he is in the morning?
He's currently sat with Astryd on the chaise being looked after.

Have you been able to look at his paw and leg?
If there is no obvious damage like a bite or a wound I would wait for 24 hrs.
Obviously if there is a bite, then vets immediately for a convenia jab.
Hope he is OK

Can't see any sign of injury on either back leg (I checked both just in case I was misreading the limp... :shy:) and looked at the base of his feet and between pads but can't see anything there either. He IS always jumping about like a loon, maybe he's twisted something and is feeling sorry for himself now.

He may have jarred a muscle or something, so I would wait unless he shows real discomfort cos vet cant do anything.
Keep watching for a bite though cos sometimes very hard to see until they start to be come infected.

I'd wait a little longer as well

Ok, Darwin was very well behaved for ages and chilled out on the chaise. He came down looking normal and marched out the cat flap....only to come back in about ten minutes later squeaking in agony and limping worse than before.
I took him to the vets who (in my opinion) handled him very roughly and then told me there was nothing wrong and I should go home and stop wasting his time while grinning in a somewhat patronising manner.
Got Darwin home for him to resume limping.....he's currently grounded overnight and the cat flap is set to "in" only. Chi will just have to cope if he comes in and the girls will have to deal with it too.

  for darwin and  for you after a bad time at the vets, i agree with gill if there is no obvious wound he may have hurt a muscle and is thinking limping alone wasnt getting him any extra dreamies so decided to have a squeek as well bless him any change today??

Sorry for the lack in update....after causing major disruption by not allowing Little Man outside for two days except for two 15 minute jaunts his leg was back to normal. I think maybe he was "hamming it up" for his Mum. ;)
Sadly, it's set me back with the visitor cat, Chi because I had to shut a door he was used to being open and now he's unsure where he's allowed and freaks out because he thinks he'll be trapped.... :tired:
Astryd and Sage are being perfect as always, of course. ;)
