I'd never want to leave :Luv2: .... oh go on then, I'll have another slice of cake :evillaugh:
-
i wonder if rescues here had seperate cafe section like it, would they be popular? :wow:

I went to one in Tokyo; paid by the hour, and extra if you want tea ;D
The place had two stories; the upstairs had a room with a 'private kitty area' away from people, and it also had a wii in there (with a game that had birds and fish you could move around for the kitties) a staircase complete with 'kitty shelves' (they were full with a sleeping kitty each) going down into a larger room with tables chairs, and many hidey places for the kitties.
Various pots were placed everywhere filled with different wand toys, and loads of cubes, scratch posts etc. i didnt want to leave! ;D

How do these work then? are the cats permanent residents in these cafes?
-
They must be permanent residents Gillian....
"Cat cafes are quite popular in Japan, with Tokyo being home to at least 39 cat cafes. A pioneer is Cat’s Store, by Hanada Norimasa, which opened in 2005. The popularity of cat cafes in Japan is attributed to many apartments forbidding pets, and to cats providing relaxing companionship in what may otherwise be a stressful and lonesome urban life; other forms of pet rental :-: are also common in Japan.
There are various cat cafes. Some cat cafes feature specific categories of cat such as black cats, fat cats, rare breed cats or ex-stray cats. A cat cafe must obtain a license and comply with the strict requirements and regulations of the Animal Treatment/Protection Law.
Japanese cat cafés feature strict rules to ensure cleanliness and animal welfare, in particular seeking to ensure that the cats are not disturbed by excessive and unwanted attention, such as by young children or when sleeping. Many cat cafes also seek to raise awareness of cat welfare issues, such as abandoned and stray cats"

Kitty heaven for people to visit? Is this where we've been going wrong?
How about we find someone with a great big house, put all our long term rescue moggies in there and charge (nice) people to come and cuddle/feed/play with them.
Bet there's a lot of folk would want to come live there (oooh thoughts run wild - cat cafes, kitty hotels, furry de-tox health spa weekends) and if you fall in love with a cat, you can take it home with you!
Now who can we ask about the funding to set this up (the sublime Simon Cowell maybe) :briggin: :ahh:

Sounds fab, and with the added bonus that all teh other customers were 'nice' as they are obviously cat people :)

What a brilliant idea, and it's great that the welfare of the cats comes before the customers.
-
Fantastic :Luv2:
One of those cats had a very posh water dish and I loved the pink chair/lounger thingy.
Never mind the slice of cake Helen, let's order a banquet and stay all day and night ;)
