im not sure why but one of my two cats keep's wee'ing on my gaming chair, they have done it twice now, ive not caught them so im not sure who or when its happening! its only since the new 3 babies ave been here! from now on im gonna leave there bed on my chair, hopefully this will stop them from doin it! but can anyone tell me why they are doin it please x

any odd toileting should be checked by the vet first, cystitis etc needs ruling out
-
they ave a litter tray in house which they are usin fine and they go out regular!
-
Also both times its happened its been the day ive come back from a weekend away (hubby been at home) this chair is where i spend most of my time!
-
but when they are poorly they often go somewhere that isn't the litter tray
-
sounds like they are missing you and also the newbies could be causing stress.
-
My mate said the same gill! It's only the day I return they do it! Don't Do it when I'm home x
-
It does sound like scent mixing. Some cats are known to do it if they're feeling a bit put out or insecure. Have you got anything like Feliway plugged in? A lot of multicat households find they benefit from it.
-
No I don't have one, but alot of people keep sayin about it, would I need two, one for up stairs cats and one for my two? X
-
It works on square footage....so I couldn't tell you that. ;) But maybe try one in the room your chair is.

I keep puppy pads for exactly this reason. :shy:
Leave one of these on your gaming chair with a throw or towel over the top, this will protect your chair at minimal cost. Their bed should really stay in it's usual place when you're away from home. :)
I also leave a worn t-shirt on my side of the bed, and one of them inevitably curls up on it. :Luv:

There bed is left in usual place but I thought I'd try it on my chair to stop them but they just wee'd on it!
-
Ha ! Mine did this too. Beds Schmeds! The dislodged presence of a so-called much loved article (bed, toy, hooman...) does not, ever, stop protest pee n poo. :shy:
This is why I leave beds in situ. No point in moving, just upsets 'em even more. More change? More wee wee. :tired:

I just found this on the internet....
Fact: Cats May Love Too Much
Behavior experts confirm that some cats really do experience separation anxiety when apart from a favorite person — and that's one reason a sweet kitty may pee on your clothes when you're at work. Other signs: the cat paces, vocalizes, or blocks the owner's path to the door. Left alone, she may vomit or be too worried to eat. For cats who love too much, behavior therapy can help -- along with anti-anxiety medications for severely affected cats.

Puppy training pads under beds stops the wee going on to a surface, needs changed but can make the difference
Our old lady the late great HRH Princess Sweetie had leaking monments and we used the puppy pads under her bed on the couch and she has been gone for nearly 8 months now but we still have them under the bed on the couch as one of my pointers likes to wee on the bed, and if we remove the bed Echo Beach gets very upset as he spent 6 months of his life with HRH Sweetie and still sleeps in the bed even if it has been sprayed

I use to have this problem. I threw out the couch. Guess I should have gotten those house braking pads. LOL, I should have run into you guys years ago. I hope the person who wrote this question, I hope this works for you.
