... but I'm going to ask anyway.
My landlady, after 3 years of allowing pets, has decided that they are unhygienic, which means I am now looking for a new home. :(
Does anyone know of any friendly flatshares in London for me and one well-behaved feline?
Thanks a lot :)

tut this is a bit un fair! does it say pets allowed in your contact? surely she cant change ur contract!

The contract says nothing at all about pets, but is coming up to renewal so I guess she can change it how she likes.
Thanks for the link
Any other advicemuch appreciated!!!

You should really get some legal advice on this. I'm pretty sure landlords can't start objecting to conditions that were previously acceptable.
According to the CAB advice guide, changes have to be agreed by both the landlord and the tenant: http://www.adviceguide.org.uk/index/your_family/home_and_neighbourhood_index_ew/renting_a_home_index_ew/tenancy_agreements.htm#Changing_the_tenancy_agreement (http://www.adviceguide.org.uk/index/your_family/home_and_neighbourhood_index_ew/renting_a_home_index_ew/tenancy_agreements.htm#Changing_the_tenancy_agreement)
And it's the same on DirectGov: http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/HomeAndCommunity/Privaterenting/Tenancies/DG_189119 (http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/HomeAndCommunity/Privaterenting/Tenancies/DG_189119)

This site allows you to search for flat-shares etc and one of the search criteria is 'pets allowed' http://www.spareroom.co.uk/

Thank you both :)

Try sending a pm to Shona Feline Costumier she has just got a house in London and may be looking for flatmates, she has Dave and Chilli cats

Liz, she already has housemates. BUT she might know of somewhere, definitely worth a try.
