Title: Sasa is missing..................again
Post by: Gill (sneakiefeline) on August 02, 2011, 02:52:37 AM
Its raining and everywhere is sodden and havent seen her for 24 hours now.

She walked out the door about this time last night cos Misa was being a pain and sitting out in the rain and wouldnt come in.

She had been sleeping on the kitchen window sill and was happy for me doing things in the kitchen and made no effort to leave.

Misa had been missing for a few hours and I opened the door and he was sitting there soaked, I thouight he would come in but wouldnt.............I think the other cat had been around..............and I left the door open much longer than I wanted and Sasa decided to leave with Misa.

She has not eaten since then and of course does not respond to me calling her.

I should have just let Misa sit in the rain cos he would have come in and now so worried where she is  :( :(

I do hope she is back soon

I think you need to give your 3 residents their home back for a while and keep Lupin in one place for a while so they feel it is still their home as some semi feral and feral just upsticks and move if things aren't the way they want them or feel confortable with

Would make sense, Gill. Lupin seems to be ruling the roost so to speak. Really hope the wanderer puts in an appearance soon.

Do you leave food out overnight Gill.  Am wondering if you would know if she has helped herself to grub whilst you are asleep?

She came back about 0400 and was on window sill, Lupin was in  one place Liz as he is for about 8 hours or more every day!

She has the oportunity to roam the house, except bedroom but chooses not to.

She is also choosing not to go in the greenhouse which is beyond me and no clue where she goes, especially when its raining.

She ate and dont know how long she stayed cos went back to bed.

Right now she is ummmmmm sunning herself in the garden where she thinks I cant see her and it seems to be me that she is worried about cos she runs away if I take out da bird to play.

I so wish she would tell me what is wrong................I just feel that she may have a medical problem and thinks if I get too close she is off to the vet.............she of course is right!

It helps me so much if I know where she goes and hate it when I dont see her for 24 hours or more.

She spent about 75% of time yesterday in her own garden but didnt come in to eat until the early hours.

This morning she was in the greenhouse with nose poking out of the door and has been in to eat a few mins ago,

Sadly there is a noisy boy with a bike playing at the back. so dont know where she will think its safe.

She was asleep in the greenhouse this afternoon but now had neighbour with noisy mower so not sure if she is still around!

If I keep go looking for her it drives her away so trying not tp do this..........she gave me a real stare earlier.........like stay away from me, I am warning you!

I dont know cos cant get close to her even normally but this is not her normal behaviour and am worried she has a problem but just no way of catching her as that can only be dobe in the house by closing every door till I have her in the hall in a corner!

Its so sad cos she cries and panics until she just goes into freeze mode and bit like some said...........may have been Liz, its the only time I can touch her and stroke her wonderfully soft fur.

She freezes at the vets but cries all the way there and its heart rending.

Aww bless her. Are you not able to corner her in the greenhouse? I hope you can get to her even if just for your own piece of mind... must be awful not knowing if there is something wrong. Is it anything to do with new cat possibly?

xx

Too dangerous in the greenhouse cos she will try and jump through the glass, she is literally terrified of being shut in and my first try of trapping her was in bedroom and she tried to jump through the double glazing.

I really dont know why she is behaving this way but she currently hates me.

When Lupin first came here I was using a 4ft barrier!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and she would come in and sleep in the front room when I moved the barrier. so dont think its Lupin.

What I do suspect its to do with the 6ft barrier and me having to shut the door between the utitity room and hall cos he jumps over the barrier when I am on the kitchen side of it and then has access to the cat flap and cant afford that to happen.

So reckon its her phobia over closed doors.

She is coming in and stays on window sill some times in kitchen but she is listening for any apparently scarey stuff and will leg it out of the flap if she gets scared.

I really need a way of stopping him getting to cat flap but allowing others to come in...................impossible I think!

As I soend a lot of time with my ferals I know when something is out of sync or not right and usually resort to some nice human tuna with a crushed ACP tablet in it and take them to the vet when drowsey and advise the symptoms

I am lucky that they are usually out of sync when OH is at home so they don't need to be drugged just cornered and put in to a crush cage

Our vets do advise that we know our cats so well, I can even give them the litter type preferences

tricky one!! I know how difficult it can be as Tinks doesn't go out but Davey does, but it makes it hard cos I can't have back door open or windows etc. So far I haven't found a solution either. I'll keep thinking and if I have any ideas will give you a shout! xx
