My little sister was sorting out her bedroom today and clearing out all her old toys n that she had when she was younger
and one of the things she no longer wanted was a pop up tent
its in fab condition
she only ever used it once i think
and i ask her if i could have it for the cats
they love it !!! :Luv:
theyve been playing in it since i brought it bk home this evening
one of them hides inside then pops out and scares the others
they all take it in turns to hide in there ,
its kept them occupied for a bit anyway
i wanna get a tunnel and attach it to the tent
in fact i want to turn the spare room in to a cat play room :Luv: :Luv: :Luv: :Luv: :Luv:
it will be fab !
ill post a pic of the tent in a sec

awwwww :thanks: sam

Oops, read this yesterday and forgot to say, I think the tent is ace. :) My cats would love it, too.
-
Thats brilliant Amber would love it. Some years ago one of the cat food companys was doing a tent thing which had some toys attached and I sent off for it. Amber loved it but I had to keep taking it away as she cornered Mogs in and wouldnt let her out :evillaugh:

Tab, was it a Friskies tent? We still have one!
-
max has been playing really rough with the tent
he scrambles it to the floor and knocks it over

Great pic ;D Tents are the best! I have a little pop up tent for the babies when they arrive, yours looks massive though Lisa - think I may have to get them a kids size one for when they get a bit bigger.

Mosi would probably love a tent but I don't know where I'd put it. My flat is one big adventure playground as it is ;)
-
Susanne, the pop up ones designed for animals pop down aswell (or at least I hope it does - haven't taken it out of the packet yet!). The one I've got is flat and smaller than a magazine so you could just flatten it after he's played with it.

Apparently the rabbit in the tent on that listing is the size of a cat!

Im not sure who's it was but it was red and had a hard ball that swung from the roof.....although not for long as Amber grabbed hold of it and started running while Mogs was in the tent, stretched the elastic and then let go so it flew back into the thing and nearly brained poor Mogs who was already looking worried at moving across the floor. Any the ball was cut off and sadly when my flat was done up and I had to pack everything away for a year I decided that a scruffy, scratched and holey cat tent wasnt staying :evillaugh:

I had a hi life tent and it was trashed very quickly, they had a great time doing it!
-

im going to get it out for a bit when they all wake up later this evening
;) ;) :evillaugh: :evillaugh: :evillaugh: :evillaugh:

I feel a trip to Ikea coming on... ;D
-
The ones from IKEA look good but defo dont like the other ones as i find them pretty dangerous....after cats have bounced in and out of them the wire structure breaks out :(
-
:-: :-: :-: Oh dear, will have to keep anm eye out for that then. That's really bad considering they are supposed to be designed for animals >:(

There is a company called Time Delivery www.timedelivery.co.uk
They will go and buy the stuff you want in ikea and deliver it to you. Not sure if they cover all areas. It's fine if you are spending a fair bit - I can't remember how much they charge but we bought quite a few things so it was worthwhile. You can even get small bits & pieces - anything from the catalogue really.
-
I love the IKEA tent, but I'm nowhere near one! :(
-
Nor am I so I think I'll have to try and work out how to get to the one I spied in Strasbourg next weekend. I really must stop buying cat beds lol but I can't resist!
-
mark thats such a good idea!! it bugs me so much they dont deliver.
i ebayed those cat tents and they are on there but inc p&p they all atleast twice the price they are from ikea directly. but then if you have to travel a long way maybe it wokrs out.... not sure.
;D
-
:( I was at an Ikea last Saturday - We bought a new mattress, but I wasn't allowed to look at anything else :P
Not sure we should have got a memory foam mattress though - as there is a cat shaped dint in the mattress now
-
>Helen.....i have bought two of them....must admit from the pound shop, prob those 1.99...look the same anyway!
Both done exactly the same thing so i reckon this time the dearer the better :(
-
Look what I've got ;D
(http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y43/urbantigers/Mosiplaytent2.jpg)
I'll let you know how we get on with it (I'm doubting it will last long around here. Mosi's favourite game with it already is to move it around the room (from inside)). If anyone wants one I'll let you know next time I go to ikea and can get you one and post it to you - I go quite often.
-
Thats cool Susanne ;D
Some of the cheapo ones have long elastic with toys on the end, this can get wrapped around a neck so best chop them out!
-
Susanne, me me!! Let me know next time you go to Ikea, please! ;D
-
Suzanne, me too !!!
That is gorgeous mine did have a little cardboard tent but they demolished it :( ...
-
thats fab susanne
i wanted that one but we dont have a ikea here >:(
-

If I can't get hold of one before you next go I might have to take you up on that as I don't want to deprive the cats of one lol. Are the red ones a nice bright fire engine red or are they more dark red?
-
Bet you're regretting that offer now, aren't you Susanne?! ;) You'll need a truck at this rate!

-
