oh dear.....
short and curlies and fired!

That is just so bad and if one kitten was so ill how on earth could he put the wrong one to sleep.
Have to say I wonder if it was necessary to put either to sleep......sounds like a lazy incompitent vet!
-
I shall be even more paranoid when I take a cat in for a vaccination!
I know its not possible (or at least I hope not) but I always get the urge to ask them to double check what they are putting in - managed to resist it so far...
-
The practice has been named and shamed so they should not be surprised if peeps leave them!
One has to have absolute trust in vets and doctors.
-
I think this is disgusting,i'm glad they have been named and shamed. >:(
-
I always like to be present when any of ours are PTS
This is unbelievably bad, so distressing for the owners. Definitely wouldnt use them again
-
How gutting for the owners :( The vets then 'gave' them two new kittens - like they're replaceable >:(
-
Microchips could have prevented it. :tired:

So awful for the owners too. It reminded me of the time I went to collect my last cat, Jones, from the vet. He was only in for some dental work but the nurse brought out the wrong cat! Didn't even look like Jones either. When I told her, she looked mortified and went off to get mine - then she came back with no cat, saying that the vet wanted to speak to me. I went frantic, I really thought they'd done something to him! Those few minutes of waiting for the vet to come out felt like an hour (fortunately she only wanted to tell me that he was still drowsy from the anaesthetic).

Only if they had checked for chips. So so sad

I hadn't thought about that but yes.
Same here so would never happen with ours unless emergency e.g. something discovered during an operation. It just doesn't bear thinking about :( :( :(
-
I have also always been present and could not let one of mine go without saying goodbye :(
I saw a comment on FB which is also very relevent too.............doent the vet know about amputation? Of course we dont know what the vet considered was wrong with the cat........wonder if if actually tried to find out!!
