I went to buy a couple of new toys for the cat the other day but my fiance said a firm 'no' they don't need them, we don't have the money speech. I came home and told Fred that his Daddy would not let me buy him a new toy. Yesterday my fiance came home with lots of cat food and, yep, you guessed it, not one but 2 new toys!!!!  :rofl: :rofl: :rofl: he is such a softy  :rofl: :rofl:

Maybe you should try that tactic everytime you want to treat them, mention new beds etc and wait for your OH to say no then simply wait a few days and he will come home with two  :evillaugh:

haha, I don't think it would work on the new beds for them, as he doesn't believe in beds for cats as they sleep anywhere (my argument is that they actually spend a large proportion of their time in their cat beds, especially Benji in his special one from the purrs auction) but I may give it a go.
He is quite funny about stuff for me, he asks me how much overtime money I have been paid and says 'oh good, there is a dress I really like...' :innocent:  :rofl:
