Had mine delivered today, Penny looked like she was a lovely cat

Antifreeze is a problem that people forget about over the summer and reappears in the winter. I was once told that cats like the taste of antifreeze (I don't know if this is true or not), so it needs to be stored safely away.
Perhaps if one of us remembers this winter they could put a warning on the site to remind everyone else because I am sure to forget by December due to 101 other things to think about. :innocent:

Apparently it is sweet and attracts cats  :(

yes it is sweet tasting to them, but it is highly toxic. we don't even know where penny got it from, the most likely cause is someone put too much in their car and it spilled over causing a puddle underneath the car where our dear penny drank some. dispite having 6 cats and various ferals out side, only penny got poisoned which makes us think it is more accidental than anything but i know in runcorn they had a spate of posionings killing about 10 cats :( and i never realized that even de-icer has it in
