Fed as usual last night but no sign at breakfast at 6am which is very unusual. She likes her food.
Am sort of hoping she has caught something which is keeping her attention. Will give her till 9am and then go out for a proper look around :(
-
COME HOME RUBY
This seems to be the weekend for it - I have 3 other friends with missing cats :(
-
Oh dear, not another one :( Maybe they're all at a massive bank holiday weekend party we don't know about :shy:
-
Come on Ruby, get those beautiful big paws home
-
Thanks everyone. No sign yet. It's so windy it's difficult to hear much when calling her :(
-
Ruby please come home your meowmy is worried
-
Sending some come home Ruby vibes
-
Come on Ruby - meowmy is worried!
Sending lots of come home vibes
-
Oh no! Ruby get your bottom home, young lady.
-
-
Feel a bit sick now and getting upset :'(
I've knocked on doors and gone up and down road calling her .... brought Dinah back 5 times (I lock the cat flap but somehow she manages to get out and follow me).
I'll leave it till 4pm and then go round with leaflets so people can check outbuildings when they come home later. A lot of peeps seem to be out.
If it were one of the others, it wouldn't be quite so bad. Ruby is such a good girl.
-
Ruby, I know the weather is lovely, and there are lots of interesting thingies being blown around by the wind, but PLEASE go home now.
It is quite OK to go exploring, but do get back and report back to meowmy every few hours!!!!
-
Come on Ruby get yourself home now you meowmy is worried about you xx
-
Oh Rosella I do hope she is alright, and maybe trapped in an out building
-
Don't know if it is very windy in Brum ( is here) - if so perhaps that has spooked her and she is holed up somewhere?.
Lots of come home vibes from me - Please Ruby - get yourself home
-
Come on Ruby , not funny anymore! :(
-
I really do hope Little Miss and Ruby show there tails soon :(
I know how this feels having 3 cats of my own my two boys are spending an alarming time outside at the moment, I can honestly say I feel like im about to have a panic attack if they dnt answer my calls right away :(
Sure they are just enjoying the weather!
-
Oh no!!! xxxx
-
Have put up posters up and down the road and leafleted a fair few that I didn't get to talk to earlier. Handed a leaflet to a dog walker. Can only sit back and wait now.
I fed her at about 10.30pm last night. She went missing between then and 6am so it's unlikely that she is in a shed or a garage bearing in mind not many people get up early on a bank holiday. I keep thinking I hear a distant meaow and have checked all drawers, cupboards, kitchen machines etc and nothing so it's prob just in my head :-: We don't have divan beds so not in drawers under beds....
My heart sinks each time the cat flap goes and it's one of the others.... not nice that I know :(
-
Do go and check for that distant meow again, try to track it, where do you hear it more loudly??
Do you have a cellar she can have sneaked into, do the neighbours have an open basement window she can get into but not out of? A car engine block, maybe? Cats do tend to cuddle up on the engine block of a car and get stuck....
Do you have a boiler cupboard, cupboards in the bathroom, or something like that?
We have a combination boiler with an expansion tank, and one of my cats had once managed to wriggle behind that tank. Only, she didn't know how to get out without burning her paws, as the hot water had been used since she sneaked in, and the pipes she climbed over to get there were now all hot.....
There are so many places a cat can hide, and just when you think you know them all, they discover a new one..
-
It is so very very faint and distant and don't even know if it's one of the other cats. I seem to hear it more in kitchen. OH thinks it's just a rusty gate or creaking trees but I think my hearing is a little better than his. No cellars and have really checked thoroughly for hidey holes.
I have gone to neighbours next door myself and checked as I have keys.
-
come on ruby hurry up and get home x
-
Sorry Ruby this is just no good
RUBYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY get home NOWWWWWWWWWWWWWW
-
come on Ruby!
-
Keep checking in to see if any news - Come on Ruby please come home.
-
Ruby, get your little butt home you naughty girl. Sending lots of positve vibes Rosella
-
Thank you so much. Need as many good vibes as poss. OH not exactly solid rock to lean on. He's convinced she isn't coming home and is terribly upset :(
She hasn't been gone 24 hours yet so I'm still hopeful when I hear the cat flap.....
Obviously I will let everyone know the minute she makes an appearance
-
I do hope she suddenly walks in
-
Still no sign?????
I keep checking these topics, hoping Ruby and Little Missy have turned up again, looking innocent and surprised at all the fuss.......
-
Come on Ruby - get yourself home, to you Rosella.
-
Oh no. Come ON Ruby - enough worrying your human family now!
-
I've just been out with torch for an hour (Ruby is black with a reflective blue collar) but nothing. Saw a fox in next door's back garden. OH suspects the foxes have done something bad to her as Ruby is not at all agressive :( I keep telling myself that foxes don't generally attack cats ....
Very cold out there tonight :(
I'll speak to builders next door tomorrow and ask them to keep an eye open. If they had been working over weekend, getting into the house next door and getting stuck would've been my 1st suspicion.
I so wish she was a louder cat. She has a very soft sweet miaow :(
-
Hope tomorrow brings better news xx
-
You must so worried and hope she is just in hiding. I dont think te foxes would attack her
-
Hey Ruby Gal .. Stop worrying ya ma and get ya bum home darlin.
So hope she comes in soon hun.
Is there a place she sits in your garden or near? can you put food down? Do you know where she ventures to/ arround?
-
Come on Ruby - Hurry Home!
-
No sign.
Is there a place she sits in your garden or near? can you put food down? Do you know where she ventures to/around?
I've checked all the places I can think of a number of times. Can't put food down as the other critters will eat it. Fingers crossed for today....
-
Oh Rosella so sorry they are a pain in the neck when they go AWOL
Have you checked your local rescues just in case somebody has taken her there? One of my cats used to get into the neighbour's cars!
Please come home Ruby
:where:
-
Local rescues and vets on today's list. Have just printed off some more posters adapted for them.
-
Rosella, I had hoped that when I logged on this morning there would be a post from you saying she was home :( :( :(
Sending lots of 'come home Ruby' vibes
-
She just walked in. She said "Mao mao mao mao mao .... mao maou" which I understand to be "OMG ma, you'll nevva guess wot appened!"
Assume she'll tell all later when she stopped filling her gob.... hungry, clean as a whistle and a little shaken I'd say but otherwise purrfectly fine.
I'll be back later ... just gotta throttle her ................
We sooooooooo love that girl :Luv: :Luv: :Luv:
