Title: I have moved to Cat-mandu
Post by: Guest on April 14, 2011, 20:02:36 PM
I have never seen so many cats - I swear  every house has a cat . I have seen 11 in our street since last Wednesday! So with our two that is 13 cats!

Cat wars is going to start, I can feel it! I have to say they are all really HUGE too!

This is Ella (who is on supervised outdoor visits at the mo) first meeting with the cat opposite!

Thats a gorgeous red persian  ;D

Start worrying when you have given them all names and they wander in and out of your cat flap at will

In London I used to have Apricot, Gingerbread, Sooty (his real name), and many others whose names I forget and they were just the visitors  :-[

There are an inordinate number of cats round here too, although my lot are the most notorious amongst the nieghbours, wandering in and out of everyone's flats at will :evillaugh: You've got me thinking about all the cats though.....

So there's my three, obviously.

1. Chilli
2. Dave
3. Little Miss
4. Black spraying every inch of my flat tom cat
5. Smokey, Little Miss' old flatmate
6. Big ginger bully
7. Big tabby bully
8. Little black and white lovely cat
9. Big fluffy brownish black cat I've only seen once
10. Tortie/tabby I've not seen but got chatting to her slave the other day

I'm sure there's more than that as well!

Hope Ella is ok.  Thing is withthere being so many cats around she is the stranger in the camp and maybe she was putting her nose where it wasn't wanted?  Poor little love.

Gill, are you sure you don't live in a jungle?  All them cats around you is amazing.

I Would be happy if it was only me and all the cats!
There are a lot and they do seem to be around a lot- seen about  6 different
ones tonight though , I wish they would  keep them in at night.
I think most of them are all loved and cared for though.

I've never lived anywhere with feral cats. In fact, in my area all cats are owned and kittens are hard to find if you want one.

So, I have Scribble, Indie and Jazz. Next door but one have an all black girly, Big fluffy thing over the road, Handsome tuxedo tom who I thought was a stray but I think he is actually owned by someone about 5 doors away. Actually, I haven't seen him in ages........ A tortie about 10 houses up and a few others that pass through sometimes - not sure whose they are though.

I noticed you missed Effie off your list so that would be 14 cats or have I missed something concerning Effie?

Ever seen a big overfed stray with a bright red collar??????  ;D
By the way, stop worrying about Ella....
By the looks of it, Archie will be dominating the place within a few months, maybe even weeks, and then HE will be the one protecting Ella from all these big boys  :evillaugh:

There aren't as many cats in our street now....
We had several deaths, recently.

Let's see, who have we got?

Mine, of course: Catweazle, Ricky, Wobbel, Josje and Xena. And my semi-feral Tosca, who spends a lot of time in the park.
Who else do we have?
Annie from 2 doors down, and their neighbour (3 doors down) have a cat, too, but she hardly ever goes out in the street. She usually hangs out in the garden 4 doors further down, with Punky and Minnie. And so does their other neighbouring cat Gizmo. Mine spend quite some time there, too. And the people on the other side of them have a cat, too.

And that is only the 10 houses on our side of the road.
