Title: Effipro Spot ON
Post by: sheryl on April 12, 2011, 21:57:04 PM
Has anyone tried Effipro flea treatment, if so what did you think of it.  Need to order flea treatment and its a lot cheaper than Frontline etc?

 :thanks:

I'd be interested in the answer too, I was going to order some to top a VetUK order up the orther day (free post is over £19 nowadays  :tired:) but read a few negative reviews so was put off!

I havent used it, but it has the same active ingredient as Frontline (fipronil) so if it works the same for less cost - gotta be good!  ;)

I thought the same but the reviews that people had left basically said that they used Frontline with no probs but their cats got fleas with this product so they had gone back to Frontline.

I did try it for a while but it left a white sticky/powdery residue that doesn't look nice on black cats  :innocent:.

As Billy is difficult to handle, it meant he would have the stuff showing on back of his neck for about a week which I didn't like.

It seems to work OK on the fleas though but I've gone back to Frontline.

I use it and it seemed OK ... I agree about the residue.  Thankfully my lot all love being combed so I am able to comb the next day and get rid of the bits.
