Title: YAY another black one
Post by: maryas on March 31, 2011, 23:21:39 PM
I'm doing another home visit for the RSPCA on Saturday afternoon - 2 gorgeous 7 weeks old kittens who are sisters. Daisy is black and bluebell is grey and white.  3 more kittens in the same litter were tabby.

You're really churning them out aren't you Mary lol :)

I still can't understand this whole no one wanting black or black and white cats.

I didn't have any initially but not by choice! I love my black beauty, Soap and my two handsome boys, Tyson and TT...as well as Bourneville and Marble...I just love them all lol! :D

daisy looks very dainty  :Luv2: and aww little bluebell :Luv2:

I am an offical taker iner of the black cats too lol- I allways get roped in by the fact that they are the least likely to get homed- hence Georgia our unwanted to be dumped untill we rescued her kitty ( shes a sweet girl though bless her and got a wonderfull temperment! :Luv:) Mr Miyagi was my black furr ball which i bought but it was the words black and furry that made me broody- thats my defence and im sticking to it :shy:
I do love the massive black tom cats with big green eyes- they just look like "proper cats" to me :Luv2:

It is terrible when you look at rescues and all the ones there left are black and white never getting homed- my moms favourite cat was a stray who found her and wouldnt leave, he was called Poppy and mom loved him to peices, sadly someone brought his body to the door one day-they thought he had been hit by a car as had found him in a bush near moms road  :(
when mom saw our Georgia she was overwhelmed by how much she reminded her of poor poppy cat so i dont think it will be long before a black and white finds its way back into moms heart!

Both adorable  :Luv: :Luv: :Luv: Mary but then what kitten isn't?

Bluebell reminds me of Liz's Charlie  :Luv:

ETA Ooops and good luck with the home visit ... watch out for wiring, open fireplaces, all small "inaccessible" places, open toilet lids etc etc etc  ;)

Thanks for the reminder.  This is something I always have a good chat to them about, especially the danger of recliner chairs..

Thanks for the best wishes everyone, I'm sure these 2 little flowers will be ok to go in this home.

Out of all the ones I have done there was just one that it was determined they would be better off with an adult cat rather than a kitten.

I am very pleased to say that the home visit went very well and Daisy and Bluebell now have a forever home.  I feel so warm inside knowing I've done a little bit to help.
