Title: Who says you can't teach old cats new tricks?? Korky is having a great time!!
Post by: madkittyrescue on March 31, 2011, 13:41:26 PM
Korky was a stray cat that had spent years on the street prior to arriving at Sunny Harbour as a thin, bedraggled and rather scabby looking tom cat several months ago....

He has finally found a new lease of life and is such a happy boy... and now awaits his forever home when it comes... But thought this wee video may raise a smile or two today proving they may be older but definitely not out!!

....enjoy!   :Luv2: :Luv2:

:Luv2:  OH was only saying the other day that he wants another Korky.  ;)   I've just read this Korky's  profile and he does seem to have a lot of the characteristics we so loved about our big, soft, quiet bridge baby Korky.  Just as well you're too far away or I would be seriously tempted.
I've even got a da bird stashed away somewhere from when I fostered Penny.

I hope he finds his  forever home soon bless him.

He's absolutely gorgeous, I love black cats!

Hard to imagine he was living rough at one time. Do you know how old he is?

What a handsome fella  :Luv: :Luv: :Luv:  Certainly no signs at all of his unhappy past.  His coat looks so beautiful...

Does he like boats do you know?   :naughty:

between us & vets we believe he is around 8 or 9 years old give or take but very hard to tell a precise age.  He has done brilliantly. Can still be a bit grumbly if he doesn't want to do what you're asking but hey... I don't blame him!

So long as he has his favourite toys and the must have bean bag bed then he is a very happy boy indeed.... Paul & I love Korky to bits he is such an amazing, handsome and proud lad... just need a potential adopter to see the same things we do! lol

Rosella - boats???  lol ;)

That was aimed at me Sarah - I'm looking for a cat who would be happy to spend his/her summers on our canal boat.

Yes Jezebel they can - Korky has the life of riley he really does - even has his 'own' stool... which if you don't give him to get in and out of his pen he point blank refuses to come out or go in and will tell you in no uncertain words to get out his darn pen or get me my stool!  its rather funny and has stuck - he now sports a lovely note of "Stubborn - get Korky his stool or else" for the sake of the volunteers! lol   He certainly has ideas of grandeur that is for sure but a sweeter more gentle boy you really couldn't wish for.

Carol - thanks for clearing that up - was very confused! lol ;)
