Title: Shadow has gone to his new home
Post by: Ellen2010 on March 01, 2011, 00:07:46 AM
Well got a phone call about 2:30pm and he was picked up by 4:30pm to start his new life in a forever home.  He has settled in well and went and raided the food when he arrived lol

From what I have heard is the other cat that lives there greeted him with a smack to let him know who was boss and with that he just went around exploring and found the food dishes.  He has had a little set to with the new homes dog but it never came as any big surprise to his new parents as had warned him he could be a bit unpredictable getting on one minute then just going for it the next.

Main thing is his new parents already love him to bits and have said the little problems will be sorted out with time  ;D

Sort of sad but it was outweighed more the fact that he had a forever home and have been doing fostering long enough to know this is the better outcome in many situations.  So was really happy for him but do miss his shouting for me to get his balls that he has hidden and when he thinks it is food time.

Believe me if I lose a foster due to illness I cry for them as though they are my own have still not managed to harden up in any degree to that part although if that decision has to be made it is always made in the interest of the cat such as the quality of life mainly and prognosis.
