I posted on here a couple of weeks ago about this, it seems to need doing again (cross posted from another site)
WARNING TO PEOPLE OF SOUTH LONDON...tip off by south London police...two major dog fights are being arranged...small dogs and cats are being stolen for blood baiting...please warn all areas - PLEASE COPY AND PASTE THIS TO ALL YOUR FRIENDS.
Another person added this comment:-
I live in South East London and there has been a high volume of missing cats in the area.
The vet's notice board and local lamp posts are advertising missing cats.
PLEASE BE AWARE.
Please watch your animals, and warn anyone else you know! ;)

I have been a bit worried sbout someone who keeps posting on one site as they just keep saying they can take in kittens, pregnant cats etc but the add is allways very short and not detailed- not like something a rescue would post.
I hope they are genuine and not doing anything awfull :-[
another one (off topic) is advertised as a rescue but from what i have seen they take in ones advertised and sell them the next day- now surely a rescue would be neutering etc , not selling for money and not mentioning anything about the animals. I may be totally wrong on this and would apologise to the rescue if im wrong but its home based and not a proper rescue from what i can fathom.

there are a lot of evil people and scams out there... its rife in our area.

Don't judge because the rescue is run from home as I actually foster for one that is run from home and she will only have fosterers for any rescue that are willing to have them in their home rather than in cages. Ok she has them neutered be it dog or cat before they are rehomed and has been up and running for over 20 years now.
Not saying all those that claim they are a rescue is genuine that claim they are run from home but some are.

Its not that its run from home that bothers me-itd the fact that a cat get offers for free-they "rescue it" then sell it for £30 quid or something the next day but the worrying part is they dont treat them and just sell them on at 18 months etc unneautered-, that rings alarm bells to me.
