Just read on Alison's thread that Echo has gone AWOL so sending some seriously strong "come home quick" vibes and a few    for his worried mom
-
Oh no.....please Echo get yourself home
-
Oh nooooooo...
COME HOME ECHO!!
-
oh Liz, what a worry, hope he turns up soon
-
After a day of tears and wondering what happened to the munchkin I am pleased to report he has been located - he is 40 foot up a tree in my closest neighbours garden
After trying with my neighbours daughter for nearly 2 hours have had to admit defeat as I am not supposed to be climbing ladders let alone falling in a stream and ripping my jeans on barbed wire in 4 degrees celcius
The SSPCA helpline were wonderful and are trying to get someone out tonight if not at 8am sharp to get Master Echo on terra firma and home at least I may catch a couple of hours sleep now I know where he is
The fire brigade were as helpful as achoccie fire guard saying they didn't so stuff like that and its folks like me who keep bothering them >:(
Looks like we are having tree climbers in every batch - first Harvey 150 foot up a tree for 4 days in sub zero temps - met a nice tree surgeon who helped with him, then we had Beijing stuck 50 foot up a tree for 5 days in sub zeroo temps and a foot of snow she owes her good fortunae to the dogs as she was found in an area they are not allowed to go in - her daddy still mentions falling 20 foot off the ladder in to an ice covered ditch when he dropped said Beijing and I let go of the ladder to catch the cat
Sadly Daddy is in London and very stressed about his boy so have sent him an email advising his credit card is about to make a large donation to the SSPCA for retreival of his son
Rosella thanks for posting about him it is much appreciated ;D
-
little beggar!
-
I did attempt to climb the tree but at 15 foot had to admit defeat - my days of climbing trees are well and truely over
My jeans is ruined, the wellies are very wet, stream is currently very high but didn't look that bad at midnight, Back and arms are currently very sore so will be taking painkillers and going back to bed once the boy is down, the Clan are all grounded for my nerves couldn't take much more much to their disgust
He is the most vocal I have heard him this morning but still at the top but will notify once the boy is on the inside with his Mummy :Luv2:
-
Liz I am so pleased to hear that you have located Echo but oh dear the little wotsit 40 foot up a tree and you have suffered in your attempts to reach him
Hope the SSPCA are with you now and getting your gorgeous little man to safety. I do know someone who had to get a tree surgeon out to reach a young cat who had done something similar cos RSPCA and fire brigade did not want to know.
-
Scottish and Southern energy are coming at lunchtime - my neighbour 2 fields away was getting his power line inspected so theya re coming to save Echo - guy was lovely on the phone he has 5 cats
Lynn Cody's Mum is on her way for moral support to so am hopeful I will be calm and he will be home soon ;D
-
Well done that man ;D
Good luck for a safe rescue and that Echo is back home soon
-
I do so hope all is going to plan Liz
Hi to Lynn
-
Wonder how the rescue mission is going? :scared:
-
Any news Liz?
Getting a bit worried as there's been no update :scared:
-
Just checking in ..... :(
-
Echo is now bounding around like he hasn't put me to hell and back
We fell asleep on the couch not a lot of sleep in the last 2 days has caught up so me and a Pizza have a date in 20 mins
-
Phew!
Thanks for the update Liz
Enjoy your pizza :)
-
Thank goodness he is home.
Enjoy your pizza and hope you have a restful night
-
Very relieved to hear this, Liz. Little monkey that he is! :innocent:
-
good news. You must be :tired:
-
:yayyy: :yayyy: :yayyy: :phew: :phew: :phew:
Hope Pizza is just :drool; :drool; :drool;
So relieved. Can imagine just how you are feeling. Glowing I'd say and thinking up the good talking too that you're gonna deliver to a certain fluffy fella when you're head's back on :)
-
The good talking to has been done and all the Clan cats are grounded tomorrow as my nerves need a day to recover and weather is due to be yuk so will stay inside apart from the walkies with the Clan doggies
-
So how did he actually get down Liz? Have to say I was really worried about the leccy man (despite being a catperson) scaring him further up the tree.... :scared:
-
The leccy man was wonderful he has 5 cats and scruffed the Echo and dropped him in the cat box and brought him down - Echo was caught in the top most branches and had nowhere to go - the tree was 45 feet high and the lecy guys went up like it 2 foot of the ground I have written a lovely letter to the leccy borad as the guys refused all offers of a token gift of anything I offered so hope they get a good mention in their internal magazine - have sent a picture of the boy sleeping after his ordeal
He is curled up on my knee having slept on the bed last night with me, Puma, Wispa, Charlie, Fudge, Jester, Ace and Sammy ferals
The weather here is currently windy with blue skies and sunshine and I am so greatful he is down - I like to think Sweetie had a paw from the other side and kept him safe
Have to say every part of me aches and I have some interesting bruises and torn jeans, a ruined pair of leather gloves and the wellies are still wet
-
What a wonderful tale :) :) :) and simply fabulous leccy man/men.
Of course there's nice people out there but risking life and limb for someone else's much adored and stunningly beautiful cat for no reward is really rather special :Luv2: :Luv2: :Luv2:
I heard you have wet blowy weather on the way Liz which would have been so very very dangerous for a tired hungry young un. I'm sure you think every ache and bruise is worth it to have that little fella back safe
-
My brusies are now varying shades of black and blue and my painkillers have been upped to stronger ones - I have 4 lots of varying degrees from mild to knockout
His Daddy was pleased to see his little white boy and duly let him out to play this morning and he was seen up a smaller tree - I did advise OH if he was up the tree then OH would have to get him down
-
His little adventure hasn't put him off climbing trees then :innocent:
Little monkey! :evillaugh:
-
I remember Teresa warning me, after Millie's night on the roof, to prepare myself for similar adventures but thankfully nothing yet :shify: Sounds like Echo's on a mission to prove her right :scared: Very much hope he keeps it low level
-
:Luv2: :Luv2: :Luv2: :Luv2: beautiful. I am glad he is safe and well :)
-
hopefully he'll get the knack of climbing down as well as up!
