Title: An unusual duo....
Post by: JackSpratt on January 23, 2011, 16:25:12 PM
Had to share these photos from RACR. Tigger is in the Cats needing homes section; and as it happens, so is Nipper! These two are best friends and because of that the rescue want to find them a home together. They're massively bonded and enjoy nothing more than interactive play.

I'll admit to being tempted but again it's just not practical. I hope they get a home together too. People wouldn't want to part two bonded cats and I don't see that it's any different really.

Ferrets get such bad press  :(  I think those pictures show that they really are rather friendly, attractive little creatures.

Had a business of three - Mally, Zorro and Odin. All three were rescues and were wonderful creatures. I miss sharing our home with ferrets and will again one day. :)

Awwwwwwww! I had a ferret for several years... he was a sweetheart but required CONSTANT watching. It was like having a toddler! :) However, he wasn't really malicious or anything, just VERY CURIOUS! If someone's looking for a play companion a ferret is your animal!

They are definitely interactive. (When they're awake that is..... :evillaugh:) That's why I had three; they thrive in groups and the male was a vasectomised hob so he brought the girls out of season.

I think it's great that Tigger and Nipper are so close. :)

She does indeed. Lilly is from RACR....Nipper is a bit of an exception to the rule, because most ferrets love having other ferrets to keep them company but this little one clearly thinks she's a feline instead!

Awww, I wish my husband would allow me to have a ferret again! Penguin loved playing with them (and used to throw one of my ferrets into the air)

Fingers crossed these two find a home together!

7/2/11: Nipper has been to vets today to have her eye checked as it was slightly cloudy. It seems it is a traumatic cateract and the lens slightly moves but doesnt cause her any problems at all. Possibly due to a bang running and playing or a scratch to the eye.

Roughhousing takes its toll....on the ferret!

Nipper went to her new home yesterday. She'll be living with another cat she knows so won't be lonely. (Nipper won't bond with other ferrets, but seems more than happy round felines. ;))

Tigger Roo is unbelievably, still looking!

Awww, lovely photos  :Luv: shame that Tiggeroo has lost her pal though, I hope that she finds another good friend.
