HRH Princess Sweetie Leader of the Clan Cats is now home from the Crematorium and sitting in her bed on the couch
We missed Stuart and Carol Olivia's parents by 10 mins but OH said we would have been a sobbing mass had we met them coming out as we were going in :(
I am going to write her obituary this week will be a lot of tears and laughter from her 19 years as my whole world - I have divorced, married and bought houses all with her approval :Luv2:

Having had some time thought I would do some updating on the most wonderful lady who shared my life, stole my heart and approved of the man who was to become her Daddy
I got Sweetie and Toerag when my first marraige was going pearshaped they were band aid babies and they stole my heart and my love and my whole world revolved around them including moving house, getting divorced meeting Robin and all that entailed they were my world through good and bad times
After we lost Toerag to an RTA in 2000 she became my soul focus in life apart from her Daddy, and Tiger then we started adding to our family and the Clan was born, she allowed us to add more permanant residents always done with her approval, she let us foster the less fortunate, she allowed Breeze and Jazz to move in and soon had them all whipped in to shape
During her life as leader of the Clan we moved a further 3 times until we settled here and she and the other Clan members became our focus during the househunt, most estate agents thought we were mad when the Clan cats and dogs were our prime concern for a house, luckily Robin upped our budget - we took on another mortgage or rather we sold our souls to buy the perfect home no neighbours, woods, a huge garden, a paddock, not near any roads and very cat friendly oh and dogs to
She led the Clan with a paw of iron, she could part the cats when she walked in to a room  She trained a further 2 dogs in Sky and Sunny who know their place and both adored her
She developed Diabetes and mastered all that came with it, fortunately her Number 2 the late great Tiger had us trained in the diabetes thing having been our first one
She spent the last year of her life in a heated bed on the couch between her parents, she also trained her last kittens Baby Charlie and Echo Beach to be Mummy's boys and she adored Echo who spent his first months all curled up with her in her heated bed
She advised me she was ready to go the day after her Daddy flew to Hull but after long discussions and visits from the vet she agreed to wait till her Daddy could be with us for the end, he felt cheated as Toerag was killed by the RTA and Tiger died in my arms at the vet and he needed to be here for the last of our 3 originals for him more than me and Sweetie and he managed after a lot of swapping stuff and getting a flight to be here and spend some time with his precious girl
She passed peacefully and had her parents with her and she left the most gaping hole in my heart and my life and we both miss her every day she had me hook line and sinker for 19 years and I would give the world for one more purr and cuddle
She is proudly displayed on our cat wall in my study along with her other Clan members already at the bridge
So my darling girl a few lines to say how wonderful and precious you were and still are to all of us, most of the Clan followed you with total loyalty and love and repsect and I can say they are better for having known you, the others who have joined sice you went are told tales of how wonderful you were ;D

Well my darling little Princess a whole year has passed since you left us we still love and miss you everyday and so do the other Clan cats who followed you so devotedly and miss you to
I imagine you are now in charge of the Clan at the Bridge and all follow you without question ;D
Daddy and I are at home and we talk of you often and are convinced you come and visit us as some of the newbies develop a habit you did so well for a short time and then revert, so my darling daughter still loved and missed everyday :Luv2: :Luv:

So sorry Liz, I had to say goodbye to my Holly at the same age 2 years ago. It's so hard. But like lots of people said to me, you are obviously a very devoted mummy for her to have got to that age. She will be thanking you from the Bridge for giving her a long life and a gentle goodbye. Will be thinking of you (and of my darling Holly) tonight :(

Just to say it has been a whole year but her legacy lives on in all the waifs and strays who have since joined us and for me that is a wonderful thing
She was my world for 19 years, my soul cat and as my OH observed I still have my favourites at the Clan but none quite measure up to the little girl who stole my heart the day I adopted her and her brother Toerag they were my whole world and Robins to and we miss every member of the Clan who has graced our lives but the 3 founding members started us on a journey we continue on with today and hope to always have life waifs and strays safe and loved

I truly think animals are just like us, there will be ones you do form a soul bond with for whatever unfathomable reason and they are just that extra tiny bit special...with me its the weaker babies, maybe overlooked by others for whatever reason like my sunny above, but inside they really do carry that little bit of magic :shy:
your other cats will know they have some pretty fancy booties to fill im sure :shy:
-
I mourn her passing but celebtate her life as she was a very special little lady and look at the legacy she left here at the Clan her special kittens from each generation the ones she chose to be her boys never girls she was a bit of a ladies man where the cats and dogs were concerned
-
Well my darling girl another year has passed since you left that big gaping hole in my heart but I know you will be in charge at the Bridge
Again Daddy and I are in different countries and now add different time zones to our list
So HRH Princess Sweetie you are never far from my thoughts and always in our hearts and your legacy lives on as we have some more waifs and strays continuing the journey we started on all those years ago :Luv2:
