There is no such thing as a sleeping cat ...... really they are just waiting for a chance to jump out at you.
You may have left him in the Living Room but hes a cat - and will now be in your bed .
No food is safe from a kitty-on-the-prowl.
Cats are designed to confuse - just because he is black and she is white doesn't seem to mean that she cant shed black hair (!) or he white - which mingle to form that satisfying grey fuzz over everything
Just because Mr T or Chloe never did it, doesn't mean that Olwyn or Celyn wont.
Scattering cat litter apparently propitiates the Cat Goddess - If your cat worships in this way -accept it
Nothing is so high that a cat cant reach it, given sufficient time
A newly vacuumed carpet attracts cat fluff ......
........ Ditto upholstery .......
and paw marks on a newly washed kitchen floor
To you it is a lavatory - to cat its a source of wonderful fun !
Ditto bath
The kitchen sink is a good place for a sleep
Ditto bathroom basin
Apparently CD cases are prime cat-toys
Ditto Cassette cases (especially if the cat can gain access to the tape)
it is no longer your computer chair
Or bed
or sofa
or table
etc ....
all shopping bags will be fully investigated
And unpacked
Young cats can do 1001 things that old cats would never have dreamed of
And to conclude - this list will grow daily - but so will our love for these two little horr darlings :Luv2:

:evillaugh: At least its fairly easy to clean up .... its when they "pour libations" that you have a real problem ;)
Todays facinating discovery ? Apparently, some cats like raw dumpling mixture :tired:

Some of those I knew aboiut, others I was learning from Pussy and she was only in one room LOL.
I think young cats are quite a shock to those of us who have never had them before but in many ways a wonderful shock, especially if you are willing to open your heart and doors and cupboards and shopping bags to them as you are ;D ;D ;D

  I'm so glad they've enriched your life so much!

Latest "AAAAGH!" moment that I will share now Ive stopped having palpitations ... if only I'd had a camera ....
We were in the kitchen
Both the cats were having a mad romp in the Living Room Lots of squeals, bumps and paw-pattering
Then Celyn came trotting up the hall, with a HUGE lump of white fluff in his mouth. I thought "*****! He's torn a big lump out of Olwyn !"!
But no - he had a fluffy, white toy mouse in his mouth Doh ! :shy:
-
what a pair of characters they are :)
-
:) Have you got a picture of them together at all WC?

Sadly, not as yet ! Celyns a good boy and sits still ..... but Olwyn likes to leap about
If we have more sunshine tomorrow, and they are in a cooperative mood, I will have to try "doping" them both with catnip LOL ! :evillaugh:
-
They are wonderful and Celwyn is just sooooooooooo like Mr T ;D ;D
-
They're great little personalities. :) Just hope we can find Puzo a home as good as the one these two have. ;)

In some ways, yes- in other ways not at all.
I'd known Mr T for a very long time before he actually moved in here.
Poor Celyn has a serious disadvantage in a way, as its all too easy as he looks so much like Mr T to expect him to ACT like Mr T.
And I have to say, I cant imagine Mr T having sat back and let Olwyn eat first ! :evillaugh:
We have to remember to make all the same concessions for him that we do for Olwyn.
That said, he is a great big, black cuddle-puss, just as Mr T was - seems to have taken to me (as those pictures show) and is busy teaching me all about himself.

I so wish we had another person here with us who could have been his person. (We thought one cat per person worked best) and I do so hope hes not lonely :'(
If hes as gorgeous as these two, someones going to have such a beautiful boy ! :Luv2:

Fantastic photos Chris :Luv2: I adore the one of Olwyn looking up and showing her whiskers :Luv2:

Just lovely :Luv2:
I know just what you mean about the culture shock when you take on a younger cat, too. When The Munchkin joined us (aged 5) we'd been used to Uncle M in his dotage (died aged 20) and it took a bit of getting used to!
