Been contacted by a Facebook friend who needs to find somewhere for this boy. Basically he's been used for breeding and she's managed to get the OK to go and take him.
The rescuer in question would pay for him to be neutered, wormed and flea'd. She said to her knowledge he's a healthy cat and hasn't had any real issues. (She also told me he's gorgeous....)
Placed in urgent due to the nature of the situation. Sorry if it's felt it isn't!

Do you have any info on whether he is used to/good with other cats? Has he been kept in a cattery for breeding or is he used to living in a home? Is he an inside/outside cat (using a catflap) or has he always lived indoors? Short or long-haired? Any chance of a picture? Sorry to start off with so many questions but I have someone just possibly in mind to help and I know they'll ask me....!
:thanks:
Val

Will ask all these questions now. :)
-
Val, he's been with other cats. Could you PM me a mobile number? Laura can then send the photo directly to you. (I have no way of getting a picture off a mobile.)
-
Thank you JackSpratt - I've sent you a personal message.

Replied. ;)

This boy is more than a little gorgeous.....
-
Just saw him on your FB, he's blinking gorgeous! I do love gray cats, I will have one one day.............He looks like a BSH to me but then what do I know about peds :evillaugh:
-
I said that but am informed he's likely to be a British Blue cross. (Not sure what the difference is.....)
-
Yeah, I thought a British blue was just a blue BSH? I'll never get my head round this pedigree stuff!
-
British Blue and a Blue BSH should be the same thing AFAIK. I think the breed was known as a British Blue because blue was the most common colour but now there so so many different colours. That's just what I could fathom out when I did my research after adopting Bourneville (who is chocolate and 3/4 BSH).
I thought this boy had the look of BSH to him too...not just the colour but fur texture and face shape too
-
Whatever he is he's :Luv2: I hope he finds a forever home soon.

:Luv2: :Luv2: :Luv2:

It is fairly urgent. The rescue lady (Dog related predominantly) contacted me because she was hoping I had space for a little one. I think spatially we could manage but I'm not entirely sure the current trio would adapt to another cat.
-
every home should have a grey male cat :ahh:
I've got two, and would happily have a third if a certain large ginger lady hadn't taken exception to grey male no.2
I have to say, though, that as Wales is a country and not an area, a more specific location might help to find a home for this lad
-
I understand this handsome chap is currently in Pembrokeshire.
-
Blimey Val, how did you find that out?! I've only been told West Wales!
-
When my daughter received the photo (for onward transmission to make it into an e-mail attachment) the sender phoned to check it had been received OK. My daughter asked in which part of Wales the cat was living at the moment and the answer was Pembrokeshire! Hope the more specific location helps find someone who can take him in.
-
Thats about all thats in West Wales LOL but still a huge area.
-
Sorry Gill, not very up on Wales - went there with my parents when I was younger (Conwy) but other than that am not very aware!
-
Have rescues been contacted? priority cases will come first so if this is urgent and it's pointed out to the rescue they should be able to help sooner than later.
-
Val has passed on to JS the link to the rescue my Tosker came from, which is in Pembs
-
I think they've tried the rescues, but I sent the link just in case. ;)
-
I might have to make a cat-napping trip, he's just so gorgeous :Luv2: Gray/blue cats never come up and they are my favourites, sigh. Give me a couple of years and I'd definitely have him!
-
Fingers crossed....potential new home found. :)
-
I thought Shona said 3 cats wouldn't be practical...LOL!!!
Fingers crossed, whoever gets him will be very lucky :)
-
It's not Shona.

:'(
You are wicked Steff, no, it's not me who is going to be very lucky to get this boy :shy:
-
I know its not...I was just teasing *evil laugh* :)
-
Hehe!
-
Any further news on this little fellow? Did his possible rehoming work out OK? I do hope he's now safe and happy.
-
Val, this boy went to his new home today. There are already pictures like this popping up: :Luv:
-
Wonderful news! He's absolutely gorgeous!
-
;D Great news will move this now.
-
He looks so much bigger there than he is in real life cos he is tiny and gorgeous ;D

Yes I was shocked how small he was too. I had an image of a big chunky BSH and he can't be more than 4kg max.
Totally munchably gorgeous though :Luv2:
-
I am sure he is related to my Tosker, who also was rescued in Pembrokeshire, and who is a really little lad - with a very big heart
