Post by: Janeyk on December 18, 2010, 13:59:02 PM
Has anyone got one of those outer leather raised cat bowls (Mark?) just wondering how deep they are if anyone knows please, thanks.

The bowls are about 3" deep. They only really raise the bowl off the ground by about 2" so not really sure if they are that useful really.

Thanks Mark  :) I'm glad I asked then it does need to be higher.  Most seem like that but couldn't see the dish depth on the info for that one.  The one Pep has atm is about 10cm off the floor so was hoping it would be something similar, will keep looking  :thanks:

Lacie's dish is raised....it fits snuggly on top of an upturned mixing bowl - works perfectly!  ;D

Wonder whether a dog one would be better? My neighbour had one that you could adjust the height of, but dont know where she got it from.

I ordered a dog one once Desley and it was too big so had to send it back that's why I'm now wary of the size.

I came back on this thread to suggest the dog ones. The ones that go on a door or wall look quite good.

Shame about the printing on them  :evillaugh:

Yep they are similar to the stand ones except on the wall and where it is now wouldn't be able to fit to a wall.   What I also found with the dog one was the bowl size was huge  :evillaugh:

I have found one I really like but it's in the US - may order that  :innocent:

I used to put Orbit's bowls on top of one of those old briefcase type boxes you used to keep cassette tapes in...

(For you young pup's out there too young to remember,Cassette tapes came out before CD's...

this is a cassette tape.. :P

I find a six pack of coke or similiar to be just the right height, using a cat saucer, the light buff ones or an ordinary cat bowl, they bothe about an inch high.
